Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

who among you guys paid la trobe via wire transfer?how long did it take for la trobe to receive it?
did you drop the first digit of your LTU Ref. No? coz i didnt. now i do not know if they will receive my payment
Hello rajo! Did you receive your CoE already? When did you send your payment? I sent mine last Monday:D
Hi HepB I also lodged my application in AHPRA-WA last August and I'm still waiting for my LOE. Do hope to receive that same good news you just hadBy the way, how did you follow-up the status of your application? Did you send your queries through their site? or did you email any specific person? Because I email them through their website, but I just got an automated email response
To those of you who applied through NSW, I also would like to know how you followed up the status of your assessment. I´ve been emailing them through a "urgent" email address but havent got any replies yet. It´s been over a month that I received the receipt that my docs were being assessed and I was even charged:uhoh3:
Will I have to call them??? Forumers here had different timelines, so I´m confused... I dunno what to do!

Do u have a registration officer/assessment officer already assigned to your application? If there is, call him/her directly. Much cheaper than going through their customer service phone no. they will just connect you to someone not familiar with your application, you'll usually get a vague response from them.
Hi, has anyone heard of SCC labour something? most of my classmates in the review for IELTS signed up with them. Has anyone here signed up with them? They are offering loan of up to 1.2M i think w/ collateral. Anyway, I am not promoting. I just want to know if someone signed up with them because I want to know some details and I haven't yet attended their seminar. thanks!

Yeah i heard that SCC Labour Training. I even went to their office here in Cebu City. They offer a loan thing and a nurse should have a house, land or anything for assessment so the back could check it. However, i got confused with their 3 week preparatory bridging course which is specifically for SCC applicant. In addition to this, the visa they are going to use is Occupational Training Visa (442). I asked them if they have successful applicants who received an eligibility letter from AHPRA and has been taken the BP yet they explained that it is their first time to process this kind of arrangement and they still dont have any nurses who have enrolled in BP.

Are you familiar with the occupational training visa? Is it not a valid visa for doing the BP? I have also read that on the email they sent me... Anyway I am just asking if anyone has signed up with them. I also asked my classmates and they said they are the 1st batch here in our place. They were supposed to leave sometime this year but had problems w/ IELTS so maybe by next year Feb.

Honestly, i am not really familiar with that kind of visa. i read this site - http://www.immi.gov.au/students/sponsored/otv/how-the-visa-works.htm - and what i have understood upon reading, there should be organization government or a foreign group to sponsor you for a training in Austalia (correct me if im wrong).

Yes it has an expiry. For Vic and Nsw, it has a 1year expiration but if you applied in AHPRA WA, they will give you within 2 years to comply for your BP..
