Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Part 1 thread New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand - Nursing for Nurses
no. 3 as for me, i also forgot to address my docs to the reg. officer assigned to my case but i placed my contact/reference number and i guess they'll be able to trace that, because my reg. officer emailed me and said she received the outstanding docs.no.4 in the agos-04 form it states that "the board requires a certificate of registration status or
certificate of good standing from every jurisdiction outside
australia in which you are currently, or have previously been
registered as a health practitioner during the last 5 years.
you must arrange for original certificates to be forwarded directly
from the licensing or registration authority to the nursing and
midwifery board of australia. " so what i did was to request still a certificate of reg. from the state i was licensed and asked them to forward it directly to ahpra and paid a fee.:)
did it take some time for your reg officer to email you that he received your docs? its been a week that i sent my docs and i havent received any email from my reg officer. do i need to email them?
thank you so much..
I applied in Melbourne, however I don't know how my docs arrived in NSW. So, NSW assessed my docs.
I am a 2nd courser by the way and a graduate of BSN not in a university but in a college.
So, those of you who are having doubts on whether or not you'll be approved, don't lose hope.
just pray pray pray! :)
hi makikay...
about #2: my case officer asked me for the same thing, I told her that it was already in my TOR and my RLE. when she replied in email, she told me what she need is theoritical in hours. So i asked my school to provide my TOR with hours. the first TOR that i passed to ahpra is one wiith units and grades. what ahpra needs is with hours. you can actually communicate with your case officer what specific documents she really needs, just to avoid the expenses of sending documents again and again. and dont forget to put your reference number when sending documents. hope this would help you. i applied my last october 2010 and i got my letter last july... Congrats in advance!!!

After a month I suppose... Yeah I think it's better if you email your reg. officer and inform her that you have sent already the lacking documents and ask her if she has it already... I've sent my docs via courier and when I tracked that it has been delivered already to their office, that was the time that I emailed my reg. officer asking if she has yet my docs and she responded after a month. But anyways it's a case to case basis. Let's hope and pray she/he received it and will respond to your queries as soon as she can :)
I received my eligibility letter September 5, 2011. I submitted my documents September 16, 2010. I waited for almost a year. Imagine the agony of waiting. Frustrated but still happy :)My IELTS will expire on October of this year. Is it true that your IELTS must stay valid until after the BP? or else AHPRA would not issue your license?
I am planning to take the BP in CON but I'm still waiting for my original letter from AHPRA which is one of their requirements. Does anybody here have any idea on how much is the fee there and when is the next earliest intake? Who's going there next year by the way? anybody?
thanks guys!
as i've read here, yes you need to submit a valid ielts again to ahpra for your registration(if ielts expired already). they also say you can get it there. goodluck on our BP hunting!!

Hello again, is it possible to pass my CV to aphra without having my employer sign it?
I just don't want my employer to know that I'm currently processing my application for Australia 'coz I might be terminated from work after my probationary status and since I still want to keep my job until I am really sure that I could have my BP and visa for Australia hope you could advise me on what the best thing to do... thank you so much

I don't know about this since it is clearly stated in AHPRA's website that they will only accept original signed CV take a look in this link http://www.ahpra.gov.au/Registration/Registration-Process/Standard-Format-for-Curriculum-Vitae.aspx that is their standard CV. I thinks it is also stated in the application form that your CV should be signed by your employer.
