It is such a sad situation..I know so many of my classmates that are going through the same thing as we are. I have applied EVERYWHERE in this state and haven't heard anything. It's so discouraging..

I've been searching in NJ for the last 9 months. You have to have some kind of connection or leave the state.

aaaawwww... same here, been looking for a job eversince i passed my exam. i applied to countless facilities already and all were asking for experience, told them im a new nurse and what i have are my clinical experiences, but they told me they prefer working experience, i was like "hello, just said a new nurse here.""

i agree with you stepcmpb, its either you should have a connection, or look for a job in a neighboring state.

Thanks Elle...yeah its been a rough time. However, I did finally have an interview last week for a full-time position. I am hoping for the best..It would definitely be a nice Christmas present!! =)

Congratulations Am, Im so happy that you finally have an interview. Im surprised, what hospital in NJ is hiring because I was told that hospitals wouldn't start hiring until the New Year. Congrats Again!

Did you know that all new grad applications sent out in New Jersey get sucked into a black hole? Really, it's true. There's a big black hole somewhere in New Jersey sucking up all the new grad resumes. This is job market scene here is a trainwreck. Been applying for the two months since the state licensed. I can't continue this much longer. I'm about to take the search nationwide. Nationwide, baby, here I come! Now, er, how do I go about doing this? :eek:

Thanks Belle...the interview was at Raritan Bay Medical Center. Keeping my fingers crossed. As for nationwide, that sounds like a great idea!! My friend is leaving for Texas next month and is already promised employment...I wish her well. good luck on everyone's job search!! the tide is bound to turn!

good luck amy!! i got totally rejected from Raritan Bay and it's right down the street from my house! thank god I just got a job somewhere else! best of luck!
