Specializes in i can read really good lol.

Hello every one , i have just gotten my CNA certification and i am trying to find a job. I will be starting my nursing program in the fall but i know i have no nursing experience and when i graduate i want to not have such a hard time finding a job as a new grad. Can some one please help me out with where to look for CNA jobs that pay more than 10 bucks an hour or cna registrys that hire new CNA, i can afford to work for 10 an hour and that seems to be all thats out there for new CNA people. Any help would be greatly appreciated.:)

oh yea i live in southern cali LA area would be great to find a job

Try going to nursing homes in your area and filling out an app or dropping off your resume. It tends to be easier for new CNAs to get jobs in ltc facilities. Good luck!!

I live in NC and while my base salary is $10.75 (I got hired at a local hospital with no previous experience), we get differential pay for if we work evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call. It is my understanding that most hospitals do this- so you get an extra $1.65 for each hour after 7p for example. Also, if money is an issue why don't you try to get a supplemental/float pool job? These are self scheduling positions and can allow you to have a full time job somewhere and work a few shifts here and there when you can fit it into your week. That would allow for some extra money and invaluable experience.

what hospital are u working for lalopo86? I am in NC too, near Charlotte.

I would check around at the local hospitals and LTC websites, or even ride by the medical area of you're town, I see signs up all the time where I live saying "hiring CNAs."

I'm at Wake Med in Raleigh- what about you? I grew up in Mooresville :)

Try home health. Less stressful and good pay.

Good luck!
