A Chance At The Game Called Life

When I was born, doctors said I wouldn't live to see 6 months. Dead before I had a chance to live.

My mother was going through all the efforts associated with birth. So far, everything was going all right. Mom was going to welcome a beautiful, healthy baby girl into the world. Or so she thought.

After she had been pushing for a while, the doctor got this look in his eyes. He rushed out and and got a whole bunch of people. It was terrifying!

As soon as I got stabilized, I was whisked off to the NICU where my life began. In and out of sickness, in and out of health, in and out of life. Too many surgeries to count. Hospitals were my home.

I wasn't supposed to live but those doctors worked on me for the longest time. Making sure that I had a fighting chance.

And guess what?!?! They did it! It was touch and go for a while but not anymore. Now I'm at home with my family and friends. Now I'm out of the hospital and ready to take on life!

Pronounced dead before I was even born. I wasn't supposed to even make it out of the hospital. And yet, here I am. To be alive, is to be blessed. Thanks for giving me a chance to enjoy life. I'm forever grateful to all you guys. Thank you!

Thank you everyone for fighting for me. For giving me a second chance at this game called life.
