NETI LPN Program

Published

I am going to be beginning this program in sept if all goes well, the only thing is I work full-time and will be doing the evening program. Is this manageable???? I am nervous, 28k$ is a lot of money and I def need a boost of confidence or some personal experience anyone may have.

I'm in the evening now...gradfuating in 8 weeks...very hard...self learning to a great degree....do you have a family or are you single & working full time??? This program is geared for the working population but, in reality it requires a LOT of time on the WEB & there are a lot of inconsistentcies...look into it very well & get all info. and questions asked in writing!!!!! Expect to go out to waterbury for clinicals & there is no MILE RADIUS law as we were told....10 min late & you go home w/ an absence! only 2 absences from clinical per module (18 weeks)...then absences from class are about 15-20 hours /module....you don't keep your 70% average & your gone...(75% grade averge for mod 2-5)...lots of clical homework w/ CAT tools & drug cards....don't mean to discourage you but, this is very time consuming & we started w/ about 50 & now have 14-15 left in the program. They were very misleading & hopefully for you, you will ask all ????? in advance because this is a LOT of $$$$ (WOW $28000)

good luck

thanks for the helpful info, it is a lot of money which is why i am worried at alot and i dont want to waste money on something like that if i think i am not going to be able to do it, as far as it goes right now, I am single and i do work full time, i have a serious girlfriend, and all that. I would love to become a nurse and in the end i know it will be all worth it to complete this program. The only thing i would be worried about is what u just said about the clinicals and stuff being farther away. that would be the only time constraints, and does this program price include everything!!! like books and scrubs and anything else that may be needed? On average what time do u start clinicals and classes?

I am sorry for asking so much but again it is sooooo much money that I am looking for anything and everything that you can tell me about this.

I really really appreciate this.

thanks

clinicals begin @ 5pm, then they get earlier @ 4:45pm, $$$ includes all scrubs books etc...you will def. need nclex pn books to study from for mod 3-5...they help a lot...I have tons & will be selling them off soon....(no writing in them).

good luck

Hi Rickt83,was I reading correctly...did you say 28 thousand for the LPN program at Neti??? That is a lot of money,I could probably see that amount for an RN/BSN program, why on earth does it cost sooo much when I am sure other LPN programs are a third of that cost.Is the program good? A friend of mine is looking into getting her LPN but I dont think she can afford that much.I hope everything works out for you, sounds like you really want to do nursing, hang in there,it is a great career,

It is a grest program because they have a 100% pass rate on nclex...you really do learn above & beyond your scope....but, it's intense! I didn't quite pay $28,000. It was about $20,000-$25,000. They stae run programs are about $5,000 but, not many slots open!

Thanks for the info, sounds like a good program, how are the instructors and do you have far to travel for clinicals.thanks:lol2:

I was told that the furthest would be 45 miles from new britain campus, so not tooo bad

Brannach I agree with you. I was going to go there, I decided, since I already have a Bachelor Degree, why not go straight to get the RN. I am going to St Vincents, eventhough it is expensive, I am paying less than NETI. I applied for a scholarship, which I have a good chance of getting. St Vincents has a great program. When I complete nursing 101, I can work for them as a student nurse and they will pay for my tuition if I work the hours they recommend.

I wanted to do the BSN, but no flexible program. I would have to quit my job, which I cannot afford to do rightnow.

That is too much money for an LPN program.
