I Am a Senior in high school who wants to pursue a career as a NEONATAL NURSE we have to do a research paper about our career . So we have to "interview" someone with the career we are interested in . So if anyone can answer the following questions for me I would highly appreciate it .

A.What to you has been the highlight of your career ?

B.What is the most difficult aspect of your career ?

C.If you had the opportunity to pick a career , would you choose this one again ?

D . What is something that you absolutely love about what you do ?

Make an appointment with a NICU manager. Call the education and volunteer departments to see if they will connect you with a NICU nurse to interview. Walk up to the front desk of your local NICU, ask for the charge nurse and explain your situation.

Asking anonymous people on the internet who 1. Claim they are nurses and 2. Claim they work in a NICU is not a reliable source of information.

You will get a lot more information by interviewing someone in person. You might even get a tour or be able to do a job shadow (follow a NICU nurse to see what they actually do). You will be able to write a better research paper if you can actual observe a nurse in the NICU setting.

Call a NICU by you and ask if you can shadow as a high school senior. Our hospital works with many high schools to allow this :) Just call the hospital

and ask to speak to the NICU and then ask for the manager. Explain your project and ask if you can shadow :)
