NELRP 2013 - Who else applied?

This is my first year applying for the NELRP but I have known about it for about 3 years, I just recently got a job at a facility they recognize. I was wondering if anyone here has applied before and is the process really as long as I have been reading on past threads? Oh, and do they tell you why you don't get it if you get denied? I'm just a little nervous because I need this help greatly! :nailbiting:

My Status States Accepted Award under Final Reivew - I did call and got right thru to a person who was very nice, he kind of made it seem like if you are got this notification you are in good shape. I don't know how excited to get just yet but I am very excited. He stated that application has 1 person assigned and they are just looking at it over again. He made it seem like for the most part if you are under final review and you received the email to accept the award there is a good chance you will get it. but i dont want to get excited just yet (well i am excited and i hope i dont get a big dissapointment)

Everyone who has gotten the initial letter, when did you apply? I applied like 2 days before the deadline and wonder if they are going in the order of when you submit them? I hope this is the case and they haven't just knocked me out of the running.

I don't know exactly when I applied but close to the date, not sure that has any affect every application gets reviewed. I have been crazy reading other years to see how the process and goes and try to gauge my chances. I'm trying to patient and relax but I just want to know if I am eligible or not!

I am faculty 195% Tier 2, still under review

I applied in Feb, turned in my application on the 16th. I got awarded two days ago. I am a staff nurse in Springfield, MO, and was in tier one. Hospital score was 17, and my debt to salary ratio was high - 229%ish from what I remember adding up. I am soooo excited to have gotten this award. My payments on my student loans are $900 a month, and this award is going to change my life forever. I hope more of you get this award.

I applied the day the application opened. I am nurse faculty in tier 1 with just over 100% debt to income ratio. My application says "under review". I am checking my email regularly and praying!!! Any nurse faculty that has received the loan?

Hey did you actually get the award or did you get the initial email? I didn't think they were having people sign the final contract this soon? Congrats either way!!! Mine still says under review.

I got the award yes. I got my initial finalist email back in early June. I got the official award letter and welcome package and signed the official contract on July 5th. I never thought I would get anything this early. I have not heard of anybody else getting it this early either. I am happy because its less waiting!! I was tired of the suspense and stress of not knowing!!

Wow! That is awesome!!! Congrats to you!!! I was hoping for similar outcome but it still says under review. Are you an NP or nurse?

I found out yesterday that I am a finalist for the award! THANK GOD! I filled out all the necessary documents as requested and now I'm just waiting on the welcome package :-) Does anyone know how long this should take??? Anyone else with good news?
