This is my first year applying for the NELRP but I have known about it for about 3 years, I just recently got a job at a facility they recognize. I was wondering if anyone here has applied before and is the process really as long as I have been reading on past threads? Oh, and do they tell you why you don't get it if you get denied? I'm just a little nervous because I need this help greatly!
Well that is good that our pages look the same, I am just terrified about my credit but I would hope that was checked a long time ago.
Aaobrn- I am crazy and read blogs from past years to follow ppl that got awarded, and we have lots of time for letters seems like last year initial letters came in August. Seems if you are tier I with that high of ratio it looks good this waiting sucks !
I am nursing faculty with over a 100% dept ration, tier 2- I still say "under review". I am not holding out much hope- my friend who shares my office got the award last year, so I was really hopeful. She received her first letter in June and the final award letter in late August. I looks like it may be a little different this year. I am not young, so I am thinking this could have something to do with the fact I was not selected- not as many years to teach.
I have been following the posts from this thread for months now. I have also read through all of 2012 thread. My application says "under review" and has since like the day after applying. I finished the application the last day. I don't have a credit check or anything on the application in the portal. Here's my info: DSH,MUA (all 4 yes); HPSA primary 15, mental health 13, dental 18. I am a CRNA with debt:salary of 129%. I hope we hear good news soon! Congrats to those who've heard & good luck to those who have yet to hear. Fingers crossed
So I went to check my status today, see if the ellusive credit check was somewhere on my application and now I log on and it says,"The 2013 NELRP application is now closed and no changes can be made to your application."
I havent checked it in a while but this seems like a very ominous sign.
Anyone else seen this/have this?
Answer:
You have to go to the Nurse Corps portal & login
Tier 1 acute care RN with a ratio of 90% and still "under review." Looked at my credit report a week or two ago with no hits in over a year. Any others in my boat or similar? It would be interesting to hear when people do share they have been awarded what tier they are in and what their ration is. That way maybe if someone was in a similar position, to the tier and ratio, they would know if they are close to award or if they just plain filled something out wrong.
