Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?
When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.
Ok, I was scanning last year's blogs and the first official contract was received Aug 24 by snailmail???? They are talking about the fiscal year beginning August 22 for them but that doesn't really make sense for us since some (2) have heard, but maybe there is a large population that have heard that are not on this site. So really this week and maybe next week will be big weeks. We just have to find something to keep us busy so we don't go crazy...lol I am in a computer training class for 8 hours tomorrow, I'm not sure I can concentrate.....:icon_roll
The federal fiscal year ends September 30 and the 2013 year begins October 1. This is why the reps keep telling us that we will know if we got it by September 30. I'm not too worried about it now, but I am anxious to get another email so I can start figuring out how to allocate the funds. Keep your chin up everyone!
Okay, I realize I have taken up a lot of space today but I have something sad and funny.....I was reading through last year's post.....and on page 83, it's me....asking if you haven't received an email, does that mean your not awarded?????? And here I am a year later....but at least this time I have gotten and email and second signature.....whatever that means at this point but even if I don't get the actual funding (which I really hope I do and have my hopes up at this point), I will apply again......If people start hearing, don't forget to post so at least we can enjoy other people's excitement......

Go to this website and type in your facility's address. This will give you the HPSA score (use the higher number of the primary or mental health score). Then go to the HRSA/NELRP website and there's a chart that will allow you to figure out what tier you're in.
