Is there already a thread for RNs waiting to hear about awards from the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program?
When I search, I can only find previous year's threads.
The Secretary or his or her authorized representative must sign this Contract before it becomes effective.
Ok, so this is on the contract above the signatures and there is two signature lines, one for applicant and one for the secretary or his representative...........so does the person that signed ours count as the representative......I'm just guessing....it's sounds reasonable or maybe I'm just hopeful........I guess we will not know until the mail runs??????
Congrats everyone who has received an email! I received an email that said I had been awarded!!! I verified some info in the portal then was able to view a welcome package, contract, PAW, and my award letter. With in the award letter it said to expect my first deposit 30 days after my contract went into effect. My contract effective date was 7/3/12. I sent a message through the customer service portal and received a reply that all deposits will be made in Sept. I was told that is the way the system is set up. I did not receive anything via snail mail. It was all through my email. I hope everyone receives the final award letter soon!
For me the anticipation and hope of receiving the award after the email that stated this isn't a guarantee award was worse than waiting to hear back anything.
Congrats everyone and for those still waiting DO NOT give up hope! I had a friend who received an email in October 2 yrs ago!

The electronic signature from the OFAM approval was the only signature on mine as well! I know it took abt 30 days from the time I notice my contract was signed until I received the second email stating I was a participant.
Just some food for thought... Last year, email recipients were assigned to one of two "teams". It doesn't sound like they're doing that this year, but those teams seemed to be divided up by what state they lived in. Maybe they're taking a similar approach this year.Would those who have received the email mind sharing what state you're in?

Yes, that's kind of odd....I think you were the first to receive the email? You may be at the bottom of the pile now since you were probably one of the first to be notified and they haven't got to yours yet to sign......I think someone said that they were going in top priority and you were notified close to the first so I wouldn't think there would be anything to worry about???? Cross your fingers and think positive!!!!
