I applied for the 2009 NELRP. I did not expect to hear from HRSA until September (IF I received an award). However, I was contacted by HRSA yesterday (June 15, 2009). They asked me to obtain pay off information for a few of my loans --- they had been unsuccessful with getting the info for those loans on their own, but did get the pay off amounts on other loans.
I asked the HRSA representative if this was a "good sign" and she responded that she could not confirm funding, but I am a "first funding preference" and "within range" (I think most who apply are "within range").
Questions: Has anyone else heard from HRSA this early?
Thanks for the positive words Mtqu05. I am in the same boat as those of you who received 1) the loan verification email and 2) the verification of acceptance email, but have not received any physical award letter or account deposit. If we don't receive the award, I wonder why they would have expended the effort to confirm our loans and acceptance? On the other hand, I don't understand why they would set-up a "rolling award" process? That is what concerns me.
I am so glad I found this forum. I have been going crazy waiting for a confirmation letter. I recieved the acceptance and verification e-mail August 19th and signed/faxed them the same day. And I haven't heard anything since. I had all but given up until I read your recent posts. Now I am hoping we are all in some sort of second disbursement group. Good luck to all of you. I am so relieved that I am not the only one stalking the mailbox! I too got my verification of acceptance email on August 25, and have heard nothing since. Either way it goes, at least the waiting is almost over. Good luck...
I just checked my bank account and the award was there!!! I didn't get a letter in the mail like everyone else, they just deposited the amount. Everyone check your bank accounts- What a blessing! I got my verification email at the end of August so don't give up hope if you haven't gotten an award yet, they are still sending them out!

Congrats to everyone who received the award in the second round of deposits. Is there anyone else on this board who received and returned the loan verification and acceptance confirmation, but yet did not receive a deposit or an award letter? If yes, what are your thoughts? I guess there is still 24 hours until the end of the month.....
