I am just curious as to what the max. dollar amount is that the NELRP will repay. I understand the 60% for 2 yr. committment and another 25% for third yr. but what is the max. dollar amount? I have looked at the website and I have found nothing about it except the percentage. Other places I have looked have stated up to $15,000 and up to $30,000. Are these two different programs? I also do not understand they have a TON of applicants but I am really curious about the program (private tuition is doing a number on me). Any info. would be greatly appreciated!!!

I too am waiting anxiously to hear. My loans are about 185% of my salary so this would be fantastic for me as well. I know as of last week they were still reviewing the applications and getting prepared to send out the letters within a couple weeks. So we should be hearing soon if we made sure to dot all the "i's" and cross the "t's". :) Have a great day everyone and good luck!

I applied for the NELRP program too!... This waiting game is KILLING me!!!!!.... Its like all I do is wait for the mail to come and once it has and theres no letter Im bummed out and ready forthe day to be over with just so i can check tomorrows mail... pathetic, isnt it?!?! LOL!

I do the same thing with the mail! :) I have already checked it 2 times today, but i guess the mailman is late. LOL The wait is really killing me now because I need to buy a new car and the dealership has the exact one I want (go figure!). Unfortunately, I won't be able to afford a new car unless I get this award. Why oh why did I go to such an expensive nursing school? LOL

Do you guys know whether or not our "status" will change on the NELRP website or not? I randomly check it as well and it still just says "received. under review" on mine. Just curious.

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to update you that I received a phone call tonight from the NELRP people and unfortunately I missed it But the message said that they were sending out the offers and needed to verify my banking information, residency, and employment. In addition they read me all the rules I needed to abide by if I accepted the offer. So keep your phones close by and good luck. I will update after they call me back tomorrow.

Kizzykatlove~~~ Next years application isnt available yet. Go to the main NELRP website and theres a link where you can sign up to be notified when the application is available.

Sla2112~~~ That sure sounds like good news for you!... I received a phone call on July 29th from them and the lady just wanted to do a conference call to my loan providers to get payoff quotes... She didnt read me any rules or anything or give me any indication that they might offer it to me tho !! It sounds like youre a sure pick! Thats awesome.... I guess Ill keep my fingers crossed til I get the rejection letter!

I had gotten emailed by them on Aug 4th for the exact payoff amount and then the phone call today so it sounds similar to my situation which probably indicates good news for you also. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for all of us.

i sure hope so... but i figured i wouldve heard something by now...im trying to stay positive-i may go travel nursing if this doesnt work out for me~but id love to just stay where im at... arrrrggggghhhh!!! the suspense!!! lol....

they did not call back yet. I have been trying to call them again but it keeps going to voicemail. Oh well. Maybe they will call back later tonight like yesterday. I'll keep you posted.
