I just found out that the student loans that I rec'd for the fall and spring semesters chewed up my funds so I cannot borrow for the summer semester. So, I'm looking for scholarships, other loans, etc to pay for my last semester of LVN school. Cannot believe that I overlooked this and I am in this situation, but nevertheless, have to find a way to pay for it, absolutely refuse to quit! So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Look into private lending if you can't find any scholarships

I hear you, it doesnt seem like they allow much in loans for a first year student. When you have to take a ton of pre-reqs before you even start your first year in nursing school, it is like being in your 2 or 3 year by the time you reach freshman status of the nursing program.

I don't know of many scholarships being awarded in summer...but try and see if you can get a loan at your bank or something.

Are you working at all? If so, can you make payments in increments? That's what I'm planning to do.
Unfortunately, due to my credit score I am unable to obtain private lending. I am not working currently, but with a 4 week break coming up after spring semester I'm hoping to land a job. If that doesn't happen I don't know what I'll do. We have struggled making it on one income for the past year so that I could go to school. Husband even sold some of his things to pay bills last month, so I have nothing left to sell. You would think with all the nursing shortages going on especially in Texas there would be money available to anyone that needed it, when they needed it.
Do you have WIA in Texas? They might cover it for you.
