I am completing my CNA training and was wondering if anyone had an extra stethoscope and BP cuff that they could donate. I could meet someone or whatever. I know this may sound weird but I'm realllllly broke right now and need help. I'm in the Belleville area. If you can help email [email protected]. Thank you so much!!

I might have an old stethoscope in my boxes, will check and see, it may not be the best of quality, but if you are good at bp's? It worked for me. Why will you need these? I can understand the stethoscope but the bp cuff should be available where you work, unless you are doing home care. I have been an aide for a long time. I never got my certification though, been thinking I should while in school. Is there a place where you can just go test out and get it? without going 11 weeks full time at school?
I will look and see about the stethoscope for you. I know how it is to be broke...I go to school at the Belleville campus and live not far from Belleville. Give me a day to find it.
Someone I know gave me one although it doesn't work very well. I needed it for the class clinicals at a nursing home. Where do you work? I really hope I can work at one of the hospitals around here. I think you might have to take the training to take the test even though you have been a nurse aide. You may be able to get an exemption. I am taking a 3 week course at the Institute for Health Professionals. The cost is 675.00 (includes book)They are in Dearborn. The only other training I know of is through Red Cross. Are you at WCCCD-Belleville? Are you in the nursing program or taking prereqs?
Well glad to hear you have one then. When you get the extra money you can even buy one of those 20 dollar ones at a uniform shop. I used those all the time. Littman's are nice, but I could never afford one. I was an Aide at Garden City H. and I worked as a M.A. at St. Joe's in Ann Arbor. I haven't been working in the last few years, although I need to be. I do go to the Belleville campus and downriver. Mostly Belleville though. I have applied to the nursing program for Winter, applied for this Sept. and did not get in. So trying again. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I am all done with my pre req's and taking a math, chem and humanities class this fall, as well as nutrition. I am finishing up my gen ed classes for my degree. I want to pursue a Bachelor's in the future, so getting all those gen ed's out of the way also.

Hey there,
Check out Washtenaw County Community College. There CNA program is 3 weeks long and is only about 350 dollars to take. GL!

Apply to the nursing program now! There seems to be a waiting list everywhere. When they get to your name, you'll have the pre-req's done.
