7:45 this morning: a teacher who had vomiting, low grade temp, and chills most of the night comes running into the clinic and vomits in my bathroom. I get a history (including-why are you here this morning??). He then spends 2 hours on my 1 cot in my postage stamp of a clinic, vomits a little more into the trash can. I run around getting him water and cool paper towel compresses. Meanwhile, my sick kiddos have no place to lay down. Vitals all normal, denies pain - only complains of the nausea. He finally gets up without a word of thank you or anything. Then, I find the paper towel compresses thrown all over my floor - including under the cot (trash can was right next to him). So, my 7th month pregnant self is on the floor trying to clean up the trash he has left for me. During this time, the counselor (who spends half of his day most days in my bathroom stinking it up) leaves a little poopy present behind on the toilet seat for me!!:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire:angryfire
After the anger has subsided, I just feel frustrated and sad. I have a degree, I have a professional license. Yet, these staff treat me as if I am their personal maid and not an equal. This is my first year at this school. I thought I had tolerated a lot at my old school but always tried to build a good rapport with the staff. None of them were ever this disgusting. They walk in and out of my tiny space to use the bathoom or grab whatever they want as if it is a common area. I would never in a million years disrupt their class while they are teaching or grab stuff off of their desks. Did these people get their degrees and professionalism from "buy a diploma at idiots are us"???

You deserve to be treated with respect. Those behaviors show a total lack of respect for you. I am sorry you were treated like that. :heartbeat

That's why my bathroom has a lock and a sign that says for patient use only! Simple common courtesy just is not so common anymore!!! And we are ALL supposed to be examples to the children we teach.
I hope today is better for you. Only one more day til the weekend and next week is ONLY 4 DAYS OF SCHOOL!
MANY THANKS AND ALL THE PRAISE IN THE WORLD FOR OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN THE MILITARY AND THEIR GENEROUS FAMILIES FOR SHARING THEIR LOVED ONES!!!!
YOUR SACRIFICES ARE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED AND WILL NEVER,EVER BE FORGOTTEN!!!!!!

Wow. I thought my staff was bad when I found wadded up used kleenex on the floor of the break room! Now if they did that in MY office...yeah, I would blow a gasket too. I wonder if these people do this at their own house? Gross. :icon_hug::icon_hug::icon_hug:to you and :trout::trout: to them!
