Need interview help!!! Northeastern Direct Entry

has anyone interviewed at northeastern for the direct-entry program? i have an interview this saturday and i don't know what to expect- any advice?

i got into regis and should hear from umass in a few weeks. i also applied to simmons. my biggest concern (besides getting in) are the student loans i'll have to face when i graduate. if anyone has been through one of these programs, is there anything you can tell me about the strength of the programs in comparison to their cost!?

I haven't heard from Northeastern yet either. I was wondering if maybe they were waiting for the first batch to make their decisions and then seeing how many spots were left before they did the second batch...but that's totally just a theory I don't know if they'd really do that.

I REALLY WANT TO GET INTO MGH! They mailed them out either yesterday or today! I'm really nervous/excited. The letter doesn't have very far to go to get to my house, so hopefully I'll hear today or tomorrow. I'll let you know if I hear anything!

Good luck! That is my first choice too...I will keep you posted. How do you know they mailed them out yesterday? REALLY? CAN YOU CONFIRM?!!!! I called yesterday, and they said decisions were made yesterday but didn't tell me if they mailed them. OK now I am really freaking out. This will completely change my life, as it will yours too. I can't wait anymore!!!!

The coordinator told me they received over 400 applications for 80 spots!!!

I can't confirm that they were mailed yesterday, but I can confirm that they were AT LEAST mailed out today. Someone else from this forum called them earlier in the week and they said they were mailing them out BY the end of the week. So that means either yesterday or today!!!

I also can not wait any longer!

I received notification this morning that I was accepted to MGHIHP. The email stated that letters are currently in the mail....

I also got accepted to Columbia University, so I have a great deal to think about! MGHIHP is $100,000 cheaper than Columbia, but takes a semester longer and has summers off. Both are excellent programs, are in fun cities, and are affiliated with renowned hospitals....I guess it's a matter of how long I want to be in debt paying off loans when I graduate.

My letter was postmarked 2/26 (yesterday). Not sure if they sent ALL of them out at once, but I also live fairly close to Boston (12 miles outside of the city).

Did you both receive emails? I didn't get an email and haven't chked my mail yet. I must not have been accepted???

I didn't get an email either :( And my letter (either way) didn't come today. I'm also wondering if that means I wasn't accepted... I'm still hoping that that could still mean I was waitlisted though!

I just called and they told me they are not sending e-mails, just postal mailed letters. She said they were sent out yesterday. I am leaving work RIGHT NOW to go check my mail. This is the most stressful day of my life. Good luck and keep me posted.

That's so weird cuz they did send emails to people inviting them to "accepted candidates day" supposedly... so what does that mean then?!

Who did you hear that from? I wonder why she would just lie to me on the phone. Are you sure? I am so nervous. No mail came today. Great, another day of stress...

Did you by chance receive several e-mails from them stating they had received your application and if anything was missing it will show? And then by chance are you taking any prereqs, and did they show up? Because I received 5 e-mails from them from the time I applied in Jan until now stating they were missing my transcript from Weber State University. I am currently enrolled in onine chemistry at Weber State University so it confused me. I called and they said to just send the transcript after the course finished, but it still made me nervous every single time. Did anyone else run into this situation??

Did you go to an info session and meet with anyone? I did and the professor I met seemed so nice and enthusiasic about me applying. I think she just broke my heart. Where is my letter??!!!

If you look at some of the other forums there are a lot more people talking about either a. getting accepted and getting a letter and an email b. getting accepted and getting just an email or c. not hearing either way. Interestingly no one has said they've gotten denied yet, but they may not just be sharing. Look in the Massachusetts Nursing Forum for some of the other conversations. That is weird that she would "lie" I don't know what it's about because the emails have supposedly come from Admissions. I also am looking at a whole other day of stress because I haven't heard.

I did get a couple emails from them when I applied saying that they received my application and I was missing this this and this. And then another one when they received everything. Since prereqs are not required with the application just upon starting I don't think they would've shown up as "missing". I'm in a little different situation though since I'm an undergrad and I'm taking my prereqs just at my college I sent my transcript and shows my prereqs "in progress". But if they told you not to send it til after I wouldn't worry too much.

I didn't get a chance to go to an info session because although I live in MA I go to school in NY, but if accepted I was planning to go to one over Easter break just to find out more about it or go to one for accepted students or something. But now we'll see since I might not have been accepted...

Don't give up yet! We'll probably find out tomorrow.

SO nobody has been accepted who did not receive an e-mail? Great! I don't know why somebody who answered in admissions would tell me they only sent decisions by postal mail. Aghhh this is sooo stressful :(
