twinmama, thanx for your post. Is caculator allow for the Math section?

I took a version of the Tabe test many years ago. It was very basic and easy. We couldn't use calculators, but I don't remember anything that would have required a calculator. Good luck.

Caliotter3, thanx for replying me.

Ok, for those of you who are wondering about the Tabe test,,, No it is not super easy.. Yes there is a lot of simple easy stuff, the reading is a breeze.... The math you need study.. %, fractions, pre algerbra.... and math computation, and geomotry........ ... I passed... YIPPIE, but it was not easy... I used the TAbe study book from the library.

I am so happy to hear I was not the only one that didn't think it was easy. I failed the applied math portion by 4 points. Now granted the only thing I studied for was % and fractions so the algebra, exponents, geometry and perimeter and area problems totally threw me for a complete loop. Now the reading, spelling and basic math were easy but that applied math....yeah, if you have been out of school for any amount of time you might want to review it.

For the applied math brush up on:

Right Triangles,

Pythagorean Theroem,

Graphs

Inequalities

If you have no idea what any of the above is...yeah, you are going to be like *** is this when you get to the applied math section. When I did the first math section I was like WOW that was easy. Then she said okay now for the applied math...I turned the page and just had a blank look on my face for a good two minutes. There were questions I didn't even answer because I was in shock for a good two minutes.

Now I am set to take it again in 3 weeks and I have been studying nothing but applied math for the past 3 months so I have no doubt in my mind I will pass...but that first go round...yeah NOT EASY!
