i took the nln exam last night and found the exam to be fairly challenging. in preparation for the exam, you should study up on pre-algebra level math and especially, practice, practice, practice solving word problems with speed and accuracy! and for science, i would advise getting an earth science text, general biology text, chemisty text, and physics text. the information provided in the nln study guide does not contain the depth of information that you will be asked on the actual exam. in my opinion, i felt the nln study guide was a bit of a waste of time. the one thing that was accurate was the layout of the exam itself. but as for refamiliarizing yourself with science concepts, etc... seek out other resources.
good luck!
P.S.
i'm not sure what this says about the test, but almost 50% of the people that sat for the exam last night were RETAKING the exam.

I'm scheduled to take mine in March. I've been pretty worried about the content. Starting tomorrow night, I'm attending a free refresher course that my college offers just for the NLN. I'll have to wait and see if the instructor mentions the Science portions. Maybe each state has different qualifications for it?????Thanks againCheryl

i believe the nln is a national exam and does not vary from state to state. at any rate-good luck to you!

If you are being measured agains everyone who took it that day in the entire country.............(percentile) I will assume it has to be exact for everyone too.
Another thing.......it's called National League of Nurses Exam. Hope is true......lol
