Need info on becoming a new student as an R.N

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi everyone, I am very new to this and would like to know how I can go about getting my RN the fastest way? I am a medical assistant with ten years experience. I have no pre requisites and I actually wanted to know what pre reqs do I need to take in order to get my asn for rn? Can I take these pre reqs on line? I was thinking about going to Keiser, but I hear it is way too expensive and that If I want to continue my education to get my BSN in nursing I can only do with them that is about $60.000 in total geesh!

Please guide me through this. I have no clue. I am looking to do this , but at the same time I have children in school and was hoping the school I attend lets out before the children do. I also work nights. Thanking you in advance!!!!!!!:wink2:

You might have some luck with posting in your state's forum (click on the yellow 'Region' tab near the top of the screen) so that they can direct you to programs specific to your area. Each school is going to have some different admission procedures and prerequisites.

with about 28k if you do everything there, or about 20k if you do your pre reqs somewhere else! the good part is that all their pre reqs total 8 months!

I know. it does total 8 months, but I was told if I want to do my BSN I can only do it through Keiser. After your finacial aid grants was there a lot more you had to pay out of pocket?
