So I was recently elected president of my universities SNA and I need some ideas for activities and such for the coming semester.
We have meetings once a month and are involved in blood drives, Susan Komen "Race for the Cure", and things like that.
Im looking for some more ideas on what we can have the club do

Check out what is going on politically. Our group participated in a legislative session where nursing-related topics were discussed.
im looking for something to focus more on students. the club has kind of lost its appeal for students to join and i want to give them something fun

How about letting them vote on a charity to support as a group and then having a summer car wash?! Those are fun and make money. Not sure if this what you would be looking for but are you able to go into a children's ward or nursing home?! I bet if you bought an activity to them both groups would be thrilled.

As the VP for SNA my first two semesters of nursing school, I soon realized that taking a huge community project is not worth the time and effort because there will not be much of a turn out. Most nursing students are incredibly busy with not only school, but outside committments such as jobs, families, etc.
Thus I would focus on things such as fundraisers, walks/runs for causes, collecting supplies for troops overseas, "adopt a family" for a holiday, etc. Our SNA does things for the students such as semester breakfasts for each class, getting discount tickets for local sporting events, barbeques at the park, and tail-gating for football games.
