I am Nurse here in the Philippines with no Hospital experience after passing the Nurse Licensure Exam due to over supply of Nurses. I decided to register in one of the province of Canada, luckily I was granted, I was able to find an employer to sponsor me even without any experience at all, my position will be a Graduate Nurse. to cut the story short, I already applied for TWP last April and I am just waiting for the result . What are my chances of getting approve and if ever I will get one, will the Immigration officer in canada deny me entry because of lack of experience. please can can somebody enlighten me on this matter. From what I know NOC 3152 or Graduate Nurse needs 0 to 2 yrs experience as per CIC.
Thank you,

If you get a letter notifying you you are OK for TWP then there is no reason for the immigration officer to deny you. Have you had your medical yet? Have they told you to get your medical sorted? Until you have that your application will not be reviewed
I am already done with my Medical and I am just waiting for the result, also my wife is in the same situation but her's is a little bit different, her english exam was forwarded to the college before it expires that's why she was also able to get her eligibility. now she submitted her IELTS exam that is already expired. is it required to have IELTS exam upon submiton of documents to CIC do they know that it is needed to get eligibility.
I think you will find her IELTS will need to be in date for them to accept her application. I doubt they will accept something that has expired
thank you for the quick reply, I really hope I get my Visa approved even though I dont have experience I am just holding to my eligibility as my last hope.

Hi Vincnet777
can you pls tell me how you found your employer and what province you applied to
thx
Would be better to decide where about in Canada you want to live. A lot will depend on what sort of lifestyle you want i.e. mountains, sea, weather etc. Once you have decided which province is for you then sort out application to college and then look for employer.
all in all it only took me a month for me to get my eligibility in the province of Nova Scotia

Vinc, When did you have your medical?
How long should one receive the visa after medical? Is it true that canada is in recession or reorganizing the healthcare and Canadian embassy is holding the visas (TWP)?

Yes, Canada is experiencing a downturn in her economy.
Healthcare is being reorganized in some provinces. There are hiring freezes in place. Alberta is no longer recruiting overseas and those who came last year may have lose their positions or not have them renewed. Every vacancy that occurs in AB is closely studied to see if it can be left unfilled. Beds are closed on some units. Work for the "casual" nurses is drying up. Existing staff are looking at their seniority numbers. Nurses that used to work casual are looking for permanent positions to cover wages lost when their spouss have been laid off or had their hours cut.
Ontario is undergoing some strange things as well.
Factor in that Alberta is the richest province in the country and Ontario is the province that is home to the federal government and a large part of the population.
So the need to recruit overseas is being closely looked at.
