There are plenty of EC students and graduates in this forum that can attest that it's not a scam -- me included. :) Just be aware that a couple of states will not recognize your RN (California and Maryland), and other states might have extra requirements for examination or endorsement because EC's program has a clinical exam, not actual clinicals. Here is the state board information:

Welcome to the forum. There are plenty of threads here to check out for EC information. Good luck!
I am an LPN and I want to be a RN so bad. I have 2 small children and I want to get the ball rolling and waste no more time!! I heard that The College Network was a waste of time and that going straight to Excelsior was the way to go. I know with any program you have to apply yourself and work hard!! Do you think this is worth it? like its not a scam?
I wouldn't waste much time worrying if EC is a scam they are accredited, you can look this up for yourself instead of taking our word for it, if that'll help you make a more informed decision about your career. secondly, there are big changes in the works at EC in regards to the pre-licensure nursing program. you can no longer take health safety before enrolling, all science courses have a 5 yr. expiration time.
do your research fast and make a wise decision because the clock is ticking for those not yet enrolled.
