  1. Soooo glad I got in EC when I did before all of the new changes. Cant wait till im done.
  2. Just some of the many nightmares of working in LTC. Cant say I'll miss it but I will never go back to work in one thats for sure
  3. I'm sure you'll do fine just relax. Prayer's being sent your way. :)
  4. I forgot i made this post, LOL. Hey ianursey ty so much for replying they just recently advertised again and they FINALLY gave a web address for more info on how they work. what i'm curious about is where do the patients come from that you see and how many do you see a day? it sucks they dont pay mileage you gotta claim that on your taxes. i like the fact you can work independently doing your own thing. one thing i do need to do that they require is to get some liability insurance.
  5. Congratulations!!! I have a lil ways to go with EC haven't taken an exam since 2012 so i'm getting back into the swing of things. I'm so happy for you go out and celebrate RN!
  6. OMG! I couldn't agree more. it's like that here in mo. ADN nurses are having a hard time finding employment and some BSN nurses too. LPN's? forget it there is a huge surplus of LPN's and not enough good paying jobs and jobs period the market is so competitive right now.
  7. Wow you lucked out on that one. I have an old perry & potter i was using before i got the one excelsior recommended which i got from the library and they dont want it back for some reason. i didnt find too much of a difference in the material between the two.
  8. Those who are on the board and make these decisions should have their licenses pulled as well. IMO, they are just as responsible for letting incompetent nurses keep their licenses without so much as a censure. this kinda reminds me of how a parole board operates when they know darn well the criminal that is before them should never see the light of day, only to turn them loose on the public again where they'll return to their criminal ways again. I'm shocked at this but not surprised.
  9. Congrats!!! job well done. i know it feels good to Finally be done with nclex.
  10. I used saunders, lots of practice questions with rationales. when doing the questions even on the ones you got right try reading the rationales many of the questions i got right was by luck and made sense when i read the rationales for them. try comprehending the content and not just memorizing a lot of questions are worded very differently and you really have to think. go back and study over areas you are weak in if you know what they are. Good Luck! you can do this :)
  11. Wow!! i had no idea people were this clueless
  12. Never heard of that site before i need to socialize more on the internet. anyhoo, i completely agree with the OP. i used to work with a nurse that was constantly updating herself on facebook or instagram i think, doing NOTHING! taking pic's posing at the nurses station even with patients charts in the background. dont think she even realized their charts with their names showing were in her snap shots. a huge violation of pt's right to privacy.
  13. So sorry to hear what you're going thru. try the agencies it may be your best bet for now. i know of one nurse that talked her way into a job just by telling the recruiter she was going back for her bsn and enrolled part time shortly after getting the job. do whatcha gotta do. Good Luck!
