  1. Thanks! I had to "pause" when doing EC exams in 2011. Not only did I work full time, but a husband and three teenagers (at the time - one is now in college) and the oldest is autistic. It has been a long road like I said, but I am so glad I KEPT GOING. I encourage you to keep going too! It's SO worth it!
  2. It's been a long road going from LVN to RN! I've been an LVN for 20+ years. I started Excelsior College four years ago. I had all my pre-reqs and started taking exams one by one. I finally qualified for the CPNE in March, passed without repeats (thanks to Sheri Taylor's workshop) and graduated in May. I used Saunders and Hurst to prepare for NCLEX the first time. The computer shut off at 76 questions and I got the "bad pop-up". I cried like a baby! Then decided, I'd come to far to give up! I signed up for Kaplan review. I did ALL the questions trainers and ALL of the QBank questions. I studied EVERY DAY for 4-6 hours for several weeks. I sat for my second attempt yesterday. It shut off after 75 questions. I wanted to cry - I thought "I can't go through this again", but then decided, if I hadn't passed, I would keep attempting until I did! Well, I went home and got the "good pop-up". I found out today, it's official. I get to changed those letters behind my name from LVN to RN!
  3. I would encourage you to just do the RN program. You will have so much more freedom in finding a job in the long run if you just crunch it out and get your RN. The LVN/LPN bridge to RN programs work, but honestly, if that is your long term goal, just do it at once.
  4. I took Lynn's workshop in November. She was unprofessional and NOT helpful after the workshop - in other words, if you have questions, she is not available. I would avoid her! I have since been doing Sheri Taylor's online workshop and have found it to be very helpful. If you have taken Sheri's online 'content courses' - her cpne prep is much better, and now she is at a 97% pass rate.
  5. I passed the FCCA Oct 2012 (don't ask me about it) and put in my application for a CPNE date. All my application attachments have been "accepted" but haven't heard anything yet. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same time frame as me and has a date yet?
