A good watch with a second hand is a good idea, however we nurses use the second hand to count someone's heart rate not check their blood pressure.
I was wondering..hehe
I second the stethoscope!! Most of the time students have el cheapo to get thru school. She will need a really good one especially if she goes to telemetry, ICU, etc.
Please give her our congratulations!! Oh, and flowers are nice, too!! :)
Thank you very much for your suggestions. I am thinking about a watch. I didn't think about the carry bag.
On the flowers, what kind of arrangement would y'all suggest for a graduation like nursing school?
Also, I have no idea about stethscopes....what kind? Aren't they expensive? were to go? etc....thanks,
Greg

And CONGRATS to your wife!
Flowers, well, you can never go wrong with roses IMHO. Several of my classmates families gave them roses after graduation. My hubby gave me a beautiful cross necklace for grad, told me he wanted me to see it whenever I looked in the mirror and be reminded of how proud of me he is.
A stethoscope is a great idea too, Littmans are excellent, but can be $$. I think a stethoscope choice is something personal, you could always get a gift card for a uniform shop locally that carries Littmans so she can pick one she likes?
In any case, congrats to you both!

A pretty bouquet of her favorite flowers in her favorite color tied with a beautiful ribbon would be sweet.
As you already bought her a pretty bracelet how about a certificate to a spa so she can get some much needed pampering?! Or a certificate to her fave store?! Both are always a nice treat. You are a thoughtful hubby.

Howdy all,
I am totally perplexed with what to get my wife for her graduation which is this Friday. After Mothers Day (I did get her flowers, and other stuff), her b-day was on 3 May. So now I am trying to figure out something that would be really special but at the same time practical and not break the bank.
Any suggestions? I did order her a bracelet from Abernook that is for a nurse and I thought was very nice, pretty and practical. However, her graduation is Friday night at 1900hrs. Should me and the kids show up with flowers for her? Anything else? I don't want to overdo it however I am a hopeless romantic and my wife is not....
