I have taken the NCLEX RN 4 times and failed. I have tried ATI, Kaplan review, Saunders, etc. Can any one get me any pointers. I am not giving up. Every one else I know has passed and I am happy for them but now it is my turn. I have been looking at the Exam Cram book? Please help!

maybe it's more on how u take the test itself.. u get so nervous during the exam itself.. many ppl fail because of a nervous breakdown also
have u tried exam cram and the La Charity Book? those are the books that helped me get confident enough to answer questions in the nclex

The more times you take NCLEX the more likely you are to fail if you don't accurately assess your issue. You have to figure out whether you lack content knowledge or difficultly identifying the correct information. Once you figure that out then you can approach and change your studying methods. Good luck, you can pass NCLEX!

If you've done a few courses and feel like you have the strategies down, maybe it's time for a good comprehensive review. Kaplan lets you retake for free if you fail, so maybe try redoing it, and watch all the content videos.
I found their videos super helpful! It took many hours to get through all of them, pausing often to take notes / make flashcards, but once I got through it, my scores went up significantly.
If you don't want to go with Kaplan again, maybe see if your classmates have recorded lectures from classes. If there are content areas you're not doing well in, you can relearn the content that way.
Like boisern84 said, find out where your weaknesses and strengths are, and that way you can make your study time really count!

have you studied according to your strength and weaknesses? don't give up on yourself as you've come a long way. i know that it can be depressing but don't let it overcome you - i am studying for my third experience and i am scared because so much is riding on my passing (talk about pressure, lol) but you cannot let it get you down. you have to keep positive thoughts (there is a posting on here that was written by a member (determinedgal) who i use as my inspiration whenever i get in a funk - she talked about her experience of passing nclex on the 6th try!!!! brought tears to my eyes; there is also the person who passed on their 10th try - you can do it...here are the links to their stories…

Don't lose hope and never give up! I also failed thrice. I had a lot of books: Saunders, Mosby's LaCharity, Lippincott, etc. and registered with Kaplan and NCSBN. My results were really low and then found out through a friend who introduced me to using Hurst Review. When I took it on my third try, it made my results soar up high. I failed because I didnt follow the whole process and wanted to get over with it. I am now back in studying again, same review materials with Hurst review and I know I can make it. Goodluck to all of us. Just believe in yourself and dont forget to pray.

I too failed the NCLEX 4 times!!! It was earth shattering to me and I took a long time between each test to recover. I did the Kaplan review course and all of the QTs, etc. for the 1st and 2nd time I took the exam. The 3rd time I used Saunders, the 4th time Kaplan and Saunders. I couldn't understand why I was not passing as I had always scored very high on all of these review and question methods and did well in Nursing school.
I knew I was nervous and overwhelmed with anxiety the first 2 times....then it seemed I would panic and over study and over think it. At home I could sit and answer 200 questions in a couple of hours and score 80% or higher...but when it came to the NCLEX I would spend sooooo much time on the questions and question myself.
To make a long story short....I just took the NCLEX Feb. 19th for my 5th time and PASSED!!! I got confirmed notification today, but also knew a few hours after I took the exam by trying the pearson vue trick (FYI for those that want to check soon after taking the exam)!!! I have known several people that used the trick and it works! I used it every time I took it and got the registeration screen all but this last time when I finally got the "Good Pop-up"!!
This time...I used Exam Cram!!! I found the questions and the content review to be the closest to what I had seen on the actual exam. I studied less this time than any time before, but just focused on not overdoing it. I went in there and just thought...what happens is what happens. No stress...I wore my comfy lounge pants that I wore at home when I studied and constantly reminded myself to treat it like any test I would practice with at home and not overthink things!!! I truly believe this is what made the difference for me!!!
I strongly believe that the NCLEX has NO reflection on if you are a good or bad nurse and it doesn't matter how many times you have to take it. The test doesn't measure anything at all if you ask me. It is luck!!
Hang in there and don't give up!!! You can do it!!!!!
Good luck!!!!

Congratulations to you!
I hope I can pass too! This is my 4th try. I havent been studying that much cos I work full time. I only study 3 hrs a day with Hurst. I hope I can pass this time.
Just don't over think it and relax when you go in there....pretend you are at home doing a practice test! I highly recommend Exam Cram!! It is a great resource and it also has a simulated CAT NCLEX exam on the CD, which was really nice! Good luck...I am sure you will do great!!!
