Regards to everyone, I am looking for information on a cousin of my father. He had been with us before long who died aged 48 in Dallas, Texas. I got this information from the family bible. I am looking to find his death records that can help to clear some of the disputed matters in our family. It will be a generous help if you could tell me from where I should start.

Did you check with the city clerk office, or county clerk? That may be of some help. Good luck to you.

Social Security maintains death records if a SS death benefit was filed (usually by the funeral home). Try googling for the exact site under 'Social Security Death Index'. You will just need the name and have to know the location at time of death or the birthdate to find the correct person if there are more than one with the same name. I also think that you can get access to the death certificate (or at least info of where to obtain it) from links on that site.
Forgot to mention that if he is a veteran & buried in a national cematary, additional information can be found through the VA websites.

Jonathon we are very sorry that you are experiencing this, Death Records can be found at the County Clerk's office. They have the death certificate there and then can provide other specifics with that
Good Luck
