So right now I am going for an associates in science because my husband got stationed in Guam and I do not want to do a nursing program out here. I figured I would get an associates in science to take care of pre-reqs that I would need to apply to a nursing program when we go back to the states. Anyway, I am about two semesters away from getting the degree but did really bad this past semester because of a number of things and now I am wondering if it is best for me to get the A.S or to just get one in general studies. Would the science degree look better? I only need one more class for the general degree and six for the science degree. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

All general Associates programs, be they in "Science" or "General studies", look rather dinky. Your prereq GPA is more important.

Agree, your GPA is the deciding factor for admission to nursing programs. They focus on the courses that have been completed rather than any (non-nursing) degree that may have been awarded.
Okay, looks like I will be working on bringing my GPA up. Thanks for the advice!
