2nd Interview for Tele/Med Surg Floor!!

Published

I had my first interview with the director for the Tele/Med Surg dept. last week, she asked about 5 'about me' and basic situational questions, all of which I had no trouble answering.

The director also continued to compliment my answers and told me she was VERY impressed by my responses. At the close of the interview, she told me that she had already interviewed 4 candidates before me, and she wanted to let me know that while she was interviewing them... all that came to her mind was "Absolutely NOT", and went on to say to me that the thought had never even entered her mind during my interview with her. This made me incredibly happy!

However as I left she went on to say she had an additional 15 candidates to go through before she would have a response for me. I left excited but also uncertain as to what may happen.

Two days later she called and said she had narrowed her selection down to three, and asked me to come back and interview with her and two charge nurses.

I am now in panic mode!!! I really want this job, and it is the ONE and ONLY interview I have landed after graduating in July of 13'. I have my ACLS, and EKG certification. I've reviewed algorithms, common cardiac meds.

Any clue as to what type of questions might be asked during a 2nd interview for a Telemetry position for a new grad?? HELP!!

Have you had your interview yet? If so, how did it go? I have my 1st interview for a tele floor tomorrow morning...

I did, I got the position! :) Interviewed with 3 charges, and the director. How did yours go?

It went really well! It ended up being a CDU position rather than straight tele, and I interviewed with the director, assistant director, and one of the charges. They said I just have to wait for HR to contact me with an offer :)

Congrats to you both! I am awaiting my second interview at a hospital. So excited!

Good luck!!!!!

Congrats on the new job!!! ?? I start my first RN position in just A week can't wait ....
