I know this topic has been posted countless times, but I'm having a little anxiety over the test. I just took the test today, and it stopped exactly on the 85th question. Prior to taking the test I spoken to my classmate who went all the way to 205 and said majority of the test was (select all that apply). I've read that people pass on 85 with (sata), but my test only had some (sata). So would you say this is a fail?

Even if you don't get a lot of SATA you can still pass because you don't really know what is considered a higher level question or not. How did you prepare for the NCLEX? Was it harder or easier than you expected and do you have any tips? I'm taking it Friday and not sure what else to do before then :/
Yeah, I hope your right. I prepared by going to nclex boot camp to learn some concepts and practiced with Saunders and nclex pn 3000 online. The tests are mainly critical thinking and priority. As for a tip be confident and positive! Good luck to you!
Take some time to relax for now :) You can also try the pearson vue trick. Thanks, I'm practicing SATA on Saunders right now. Hoping the best for you!

There's only two reasons why the test stops: you answered at least half the questions right, or you answered roughly 90% of it wrong. I hear rare stories about stopping because they failed. Unless you didn't study well (which I don't think so having read that you practiced questions and read Saunders), have faith in yourself that you did well enough and you studied well enough to at least get half the questions correct. The reason why the test prolongs is probably because they are still at that starting pass line haven't yet risen well above or fallen well below it. I'd like to think NCLEX gives us that chance to pull ourselves up!
I will pray that you do well! It must be agonizing to wait that long to know your results! >_

You can pass or fail at 85 or 205 or any number in between. Number of SATA does not indicate pass or fail.
I passed quickly at 85 with 2 or 3 SATA and one multi-step medication dosing calculation.
More than85% of US educated nurses pass on their first attempt so the odds are in your favor

It doesn't matter how much sata you get:).. I stopped at 85 and I had lots of sata. I passed. My friend also stopped at 85 with very few sata and she passed.

You can't tell, based on how many SATA's you get. Good luck!
