Good Luck to you and to everyone taking the test today. Keep us updated!

I didnt pass according to the trick. Think this career aint for me. Dunno if i should even attempt it again. Im unemployed so i feel i should put the nursing career behind me and just move on and look for a job instead. Did everything i can from saunders to ncsbn to kaplan to hurst... *shrugs shoulders*

I'm so sorry iluvnursing07! I think you should definitely try again and use this experience as a learning experience. Perhaps, focusing on fewer resources might help? How did you study for the NCLEX?

Im a numerous taker so i have all those resources. However this time arpind i only ised ncsbn and little of saunders. I still have subscription to ncsbn until the 20th so debating if i should just keep attempting the question or just let it go. Im so confused!

Well, from looking at your username "iluvnursing07," I think you should still pursue your RN license if this is something you love. I used mostly Saunders and the PDF that was being passed around the forums here mostly. I would try to do questions from the other books too, but I found that it was confusing me more than it was helping me. Now, are you doing questions daily? Reading up on content? Let's see if we can figure this out before you just let things go:nurse:

I was basically doing questions from ncsbn and followed their testing strategies and read from saunders content i got wrong. I felt that saunders was toooooo intense as far as content. When i tried reading the chapters i felt sleepy and bored... What do you suggest? My husband asked if there were nclex tutors bjt they are expensive..

Just keep going.Don't lose hope.Keep in mind that this would be the last time you take.Besides, you struggled many years in the nursing school, why give up so easily? This is not the end.Just keep on trying.Goof luck and god bless you. We're all here to support and pray for you:)

I'm not sure about NCSBN. Saunders definitely has quite a bit of content. I focused on really reading the areas I was weak in (with the help of lots of caffeine and quiet time and space at the library) and then I would do the questions for that particular system on the CD. I always did it on study mode so I could read the rationale immediately after (rather than doing exam or quiz mode because I know I would most likely not look at ALL the rationales after!)

I think what helps is determining what you are weak in. Is it content (no idea what the answer is?) or test taking skills (can't narrow it down?)? I hated going into questions thinking I didn't know anything, but I forced myself to try and see if I could even answer the questions. If I kept getting them questions wrong I would jot down the disease, med, etc. and read more about it later. It was definitely hard for me to study content I knew I was weak in but it is necessary. I hardly got any questions on the areas I was feeling pretty confident in.

I also typed up notes after reading the rationale so I could refer back to it later on. This helped me remember things. Towards the last few days before the NCLEX, I read all these notes from questions I did and I found these little tidbits of information as helpful reminders. It can be very time consuming but have you considered doing this?

hey , honestly i can feel your problem.. please dont loose your heart... try try again untill success.... " IF WE HAVE A OPTION OF SUCCESS THEN WHY WE CHOOSE FAILURE". one of mine freind gave test 6 times and passed at last try...she also had the same feeling at that time.... so its not impossible.. you can do it...

Don't lose hope. You are one lucky person who got the chance of taking the exam. unlike us who are having dilemmas in applying. :D just try and try and do your best. God is always there to guide you. Have faith! God is Good. :)
