any nclex takers in october-share study tips

hi everyone

i m taking the exam in oct. oct first week to be exact. anyone taking in oct can share their tips and study plans. lets support each other

i took the rn exam on 17th, oct , today just i found that i passed rn exam ! unbelievable , i am so excited when i got the news , still in the state of shock !

i did it , i am an rn now !:prdnrs:

i just like to say thank you to this great site and great people , thank you for all the support !

and good luck to those people who is going to take the exam !

took mine on oct 30 and up until now, my name is not in the license verification. i don't want to give myself a false hope that it's 3-10 days average wait. i'm declaring it now and preparing to go back to study mode again. :cry:

i agree with richo_006. just take your time and wait. i don't think you can concentrate on studying again while you're anticipating for the result. the 10 day waiting is not yet over. never give up. i hope you'll get your result soon. i'm waiting for mine too.

just to share with you what i do now while waiting. of course, i'm very eager to receive the result but since i took the cali brn nclex, there's no other option but to wait for 2-4 weeks by snail mail (i'm not in the us). i took my exam last oct 21 and i'm now on my 2nd week (and really hoping that the result would come any day this week). but in between that, i'm praying everyday and setting my mind to think positive. i will pass. i also managed to get some body massage, sing some videoke songs, watch movie with my kids (i got 4 of them) and go back to my painting class every monday. every morning, when i pray, i just lift it up to him and leave the result to him. then i'll face the day with less thought of the result. i focused on other things. at one time, i was tempted to do like what you're thinking, to go back to the books and cds etc. but not because i think i failed but because i was so high with the new knowledge i got when i study and review for nclex, i'd like to continue reading because it puts me back into track being away in the field for more than 12 years.

i'll pray for you. hang in there!!

I am studying the the NCLEX and seem to be having trouble with prioritizing and delegation. Does anyone out there know of any materials i can get my hands on before i test at the end of this month. thanx

With regards to prioritization and delegation I would recommend LACHARITY's Prioritization and delegation. This helps me a lot because in my exam like 80 to 90 % prioritization even giving meds is in my prio test. Goodluck to you

this was an awesome post! i agree; i put things in gods hands and just lift up my cares to him; when i do, it's like they aren't even a thought in my mind because i know he will take care of there rest... its not alwasy easy to remember that; to stay in that mindstate; to stay in communion with him so it's nice to see reminders like these in here.

also, i agree about studying. i felt like i waited too long to test (graduated in may) and started working 2 weeks later as an rn on permit... it's easy to pick up things on the floor that aren't the 'standard' on the nclex and it was nice to study/refresh myself on what the standards are, and why! i need to do that more often, for my patients, for my career, and for myself
