NCLEX taken Sept. 15 and I got a TON of OB/L&D/Peds = (

I knew I was going to get bombarded with OB/L&D/Peds questions because it's my weakest spot. I only got 4 medication questions, including 2 calculating ones, 4 delegating questions, a handful of prioritizing, and I swear the rest were all about maternity/peds and asking you to decide who to treat first, etc.!! Sigh. I only got 3 of the new format "Select All that Apply" and ended up having the computer shut off at 75 questions after an hour of testing. I DO NOT feel good about how I did and will be sitting on pins and needles until tomorrow @ 10am when I go to check my results.

And the worst part is I have to work tonight when my mind appears to be elsewhere! I have to get some focus because tonight is only my 2nd night on my own (in the ICU) and although my first night went really well, knowing that I may or may not be able to work for the next 45 days is killing me.

My buddy who took the test with me got 122 questions and feels like she failed. Then again, she felt like that after every test in nursing school and we both did fine. She said she was given a TON of questions on endocrine and kidney function, her two weakest points. We reviewed some of the questions on the way home and we both found that we missed some and got some right. How agonizing....I can't imagine how it is for those whose states don't participate in the quick results. I've heard CA is horrible.

ETA: I forgot the mention I also got a handful of herbal medication questions and also several disaster prioritizing questions. I am pretty sure I answered them correctly...they were in the beginning of my test and I didn't get any more after that.

Until tomorrow,

It sounds like you did fine, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Sounds like you did fine to me too. With getting 75 questions you either did really good or really bad. I know we all feel like we failed when we leave. I actually felt quite the opposite but I know 99% of the ppl feel like they failed and end up passing.

Many priority questions is a good thing.:) :)

WOOHOO!!! I passed, I passed.....whew! What a relief that was! My good friend, who got 122 questions, passed as well. So far, nobody from our class of 45 has failed (I think around 40 of us have taken it). I'm so glad I wasn't to be the first! Yippee....finally I can say I'm an "RN"!
