I can't believe I received my ATT :) I've been studying two hours per day, with over 3000 questions, lab review, note review and was able to schedule to test on 6/17/05. Does anyone have any good pointers for redirecting the anxiety associated with testing? I feel prepared, well studied but nervous too.
Please help

I think it's impossible to get rid of the nerves! I took mine yesterday, and I'm even more nervous now that I have to wait another day for my results. Just remember to BREATHE while you're testing! AND don't rush.. you sound like you've prepared well! Good luck!
Hi Amanda "soon 2B RN",
Thanks for the well wishes.... I'm studying this AM and putting the books away about 1:00 today, taking the kids to the park and then for a massage. I'm sending passing wishes to you. Have you checked your state board of nursing site? Someone e-mailed me and mentioned they found out that they passed from their state site. Just a thought.

I took the boards this morning it was very very hard alot of right answers to choose from and a whole lot of priority. Stay calm and use your ABC's it really works!

Hi k kay! I know you said you had a lot of priority questions on your NCLEX. Do you mean priority questions like "Which patient would you see first?" or " What is the first thing the nurse does in this situation?" Were they like that or something else? I know a lot of you guys who took NCLEX are saying to focus on priority. I'm not sure how to prepare for these types of questions (other than thinking ABCs, Maslow) . Was there a specific NLCEX review book you used to study priority questions? Thanks!

Yes it is all about who to see first. Especially what to do first. I had some delegation but mostly priority. The exam stopped at 83 is this a good thing or not?

Oh yeah I studied Kaplan, Delmar, Lippincott, basically anything I could get my hands on to complete 5,000 questions before sitting for the NCLEX!
thanks for the info regarding your NCLEX experience... I visited the site today to check out the lay of land. Very glad that I did!!! The room was the frozen tundra (Can you tell I'm from Wisconsin and Packerland? LOL) I will dress in layers in the AM. 83 questions is doable - I'm hoping for short and sweet rather than the 265 version.
I'm betting you be an RN within 72 hours... May the "force be with you"...
Lisa :)
PS please update when you get the great news
