This should be moved under the student section for nclex questions so you can get more responses. If I am reading your post right it's been seven years since you attempted the RN nclex, and my recommendation would be to call your states BON and ask them how you would go about taking a refresher course and what colleges offer one. You might even just have to reapply to the BON and get approval to sit, and then you could just take the Kaplan review. Kaplan nclex RN is $500 here in Florida and I'm not sure if it is the same in other areas. Good luck!!
I would say that the Kaplan would be a good review. It has a classroom portion and online resources that you use. It is expensive, but when I was paying for it a group of ppl from school were going so we got discounted to $375. Then the hospital I got hired on at includes it in their orientation, so I had no problem getting a full refund. You do get your money back if you don't pass. Good luck!

I graduated from a 2 year community college nursing school in Oregon in 2001. I took my NCLEX for R.N. in Oregon in 6/01 but failed. (I was under a lot of stress at the time with a death in the family etc.). I had never failed at anything in my life before so I was so depressed/shocked that I failed that I never tried to re-take the test. Since then I've worked as a LPN in a skilled nursing facility. Is there any place I took take a quick R.N. refresher course so I could try & re-take the NCLEX? It could be either in person (hopefully not too far away) or on-line. I live in Washington State but work in Oregon near Portland, Oregon. My LPN is through Oregon. Thanks for any suggestions you might have...
