(NCLEX)Successful RNs 2013

Published

Hello to all RNs, I need extreme help!!! I have taken NCLEX RN 3 times and have not been successful. First time I took it was August 2012; failed with 75 questions, then October 2012; failed with 265 questions, then Feb 2013; failed with 75 questions. I have tried basically everything possible; I don't know what am lacking. It has been very frustrating; what makes it worst is that am not working and I don't have kids that will distract me. Resources that I have used are > Kaplan, La Charity delegation book, Saunders, Davis Q&A CD, Kaplan strategy book, Lippincott Q&A, Hurst Review and Nclex 4000. I know my weakness has been Pharmacology and Management heavily. Am looking forward in taking Nclex sometime in July 2013 because I am pregnant and am due in 4 months. I really need to pass this test before the baby arrives. I really struggle with what's most important in a question even with using Maslow, ABC, Assessment vs. Implementation. It works with some questions but If none of these strategy apply, How do I figure what's the better answer. I tend to always pick the 2nd best answer. I have read about every Body system; I know its impossible to know it all but I feel I have a decent amount of knowledge or core content. Please if someone out there knows what can help me pull through on my next try, I'll really appreciate it. I am not giving up and I am a firm believer that I will OVERCOME this test; nothing is impossible. 3 weeks before testing am going to try NCSBN.

all the resources you have already. He the only one can help you. :) Stay in faith to the Lord our God. always remember this "IF GOD BRINGS YOU TO IT HE WILL BRING YOU THROUGH IT."

"Nothing is impossible WITH GOD"

Thanx! I do have Faith but my motivation has been declining after the second try; Just don't know when it will be the right time again to test since I felt ready the other times.

Do NOT give up!! Focus on less resources!! You might be all over the place with your studying. I would listen to Hursts videos about 3 times each. Master ONE resource before you even schedule your next exam. Do questions once you have mastered the material and after it's stuck in your head like glue. Do less questions and focus on signs and symptoms and adverse reactions to medication. I just passed yesterday. I failed the first time in 76 questions, and passed yesterday in 140 questions. You have to focus on what your not comprehending. focus on detail!! Don't just know diseases and procedures... Know what you do for a patient with that disease step by step. What you do first, second, and so on after a patient has had a procedure.

Most of the Nclex Passer are advising to do at least 4000 to 5000 Questions,Read the Rationales even though yo got it right, and that was i am going to FOCUS too, I failed too and i need to COncentrate in one Book which is Mary Hogan second ed! I have to much Materials exactly like yours and now after my failing i need to change my Study Plan! Goodluck for the next exam! You Can do it!

Hi . First of all don't panic and dont even think that you have failed three times , put yourself as if you are taking it for the first time.!!!! Second believe yourself !! Review your content well then practice.third pray a novena of our lady holy Mary !!! She will hold your hand and get. You through!!!!!may god bless. You and see your efforts!!!!

For priority questions, apply abc, Maslow and who's the least stable client. Also if everything criteria fits try to tally each circumstance. Then you'll know who to pick first

Thank you all for the advise and encouragement; I really needed that! I'll keep you all posted!
