Hi everyone,

this is my 1st time posting anything on this website.. i've read and learned a lot from thsi website from other ppl's questions.. i just took my NCLEX on 7/15 and it was horrible of what i thought.. i did not get any select all that apply questions n that freaked me out because i thought that these type of questions u get when u r doing really good.. i got the weirdest questions every n i felt my brain was not taking in the information i was reading.. so my question is: IS IT BAD IF U DONT GET SELECT ALL THAT APPLY QUESTIONS.. my computer shut off at 90 questions and i felt that after 75 questions the questions were getting easier and when it shut off i just knew i failed.. pls help..

I went to the webiste but it does not show the link of ALTERNATE TYPE QUESTIONS..

I am new to this forum. I just took the NCLEX on July 16 and the computer shot off at 150 question. I can't just tell how I did on the test. I got about 7 drug calculations and about 8 to 9 select all that applies, 8 to 9 L&D question, some med surg and the rest are educational guess. I am so curious to know how I did but unfortunately we (California) do not have the quick result check like other states or does anyone know how I can ckeck to know if I Pass or not before they post it in the computer.

There are TWO boxes titled "Traditional and Alternate Items Only" and below that is titled "Alternate Items Only"..choose and link in the "Alternate Item Only" box ..practice questions in there contain SATAs and other prac questions.

I really hope this helped a bit..I know how scary the test is! :bugeyes::madface:

ogechi2007...

a friend of mine recently told me that if you go to the BON website, in your case the CA BON...and see if your name is still under the Graduate Nurse (GN) if you can find a link under Verify Licensure...something like that and look under GN permit and you see your name is still there then youve passed..or else they wouldve taken your name off if you didnt.

I dont know if this is true, cuz i just found this out after i checked my results...theres no harm in trying right?

again I ask, what fill in the blank questions are we talking about here? the dosage calculation ones, or others where you actually fill in with a word?

Hi, TX512GRL, thanks for the website. I am not sure what is the acceptable range of score for the questions on this website. I know for Kaplan we are good if we get between 59%-65%. I just started practicing questions but want to know what level of % should I get on the questions.

Im not sure what u have to get on the nurse3500...but i really like it bc the questions are a bit harder n u get to practice so many questions over each system..I would go on nurse3500 whenever i didnt feel like studying content and do only about 50 questions a day or less..not 500 a day like some recommend. To me, doing q's was just like studying content.. i read the rationales n try to understand why i got it wrong... cuz really, u have to read and understand the rationales and theres no way u can learn 500 rationales/day..

thats just me though, but i really hope i am helping u a bit! and not overwhelming u with too much....

when do u take the test?

NO way... I believe this is a total myth because I went with the same thought pattern that if Im doing well Ill be getting select all that apply questions... WRONG!@ I got 10 select all that apply and Failed :-(
