Took exam yesterday afternoon. 172q. Lots of SATA, priority, and delegation. 1 med. 2 EKG strips.
I took my time, used the white board, felt really good leaving and then BOOM.....
PVT - Bad pop up
I have used Uworld, Kaplan, Hurst (great for content), and happynclex.
Not sure what to do this time.... I have the usual emotions but they will pass.
The worst is that I did 3 assessment tests from Uworld (I had one left over from my previous subscription) and I got green - high chance of passing.
Any advice on review programs, study courses. etc is greatly appreciated. I live in MA and work full time.
Thanks so much!!
-Feeling defeated =(
What worked for me was using the La Charity delegation/priority book.
If you're a hard copy book person, please invest in it. READ THE WHOLE THING. 75% of my NCLEX was these types of questions.
I failed the first time using all the above resources.
Reading the La Charity delegation/priority book gave a clearer picture on how I should approach the NCLEX type questions.
When I retook Kaplan, everything made sense. I didn't have to drown myself in content. It was all strategy.
Yes girl! Use LaCharity book!! I was so anxious that I was still answering questions from this book the day before my exam! And I was so glad I did!! When I took the exam, I was getting a lot of patient teaching and follow up questions. But, when the priority questions came in it felt like I was just doing LaCharity questions. I was like wow keep them coming!! Lmaooo. LaCharity book will make you love priority questions. You got this!
Hello!
I know what you went through I failed twice.
I graduated in 2017 from ADN program in MA
At first i used kaplan.. which i received 76 and failed... PVT had a bad pop up
second time, i mainly used UWORLD and failed with 265. although my PVT showed "the registration has a HOLD status."
i had higher chance of passing from UWORLD assessment indictor but failed.. my heart was broken and i wanted to give up..
in two days.. 11/21/17 i will take it for third time....
i only used sanders comprehensive NCLEX-RN Exam 7th.. ... pyramid points, and priority concept chart are really helpful.
also test Strategies were really great. and i really like how the author breaks down the content.
did some online resource questions but not a lot..
but i do not have any confident that i will do so well.
I feel more anxious than before... i already rescheduled twice.. and for sure i will fail again.. i have not been studying a lot because of lack of confident....
Keep trying.. and just like your user name hopefulRN' Let's all hope that we will be a RN!
Good luck!
I passed using Nursing the Lane way DVDs and review book and skyping into her live reviews for free!!!! I was able to text with any questions once I bought her nclex package. Free tutoring and reviews with purchase of products!!! wow!
she explained everything so simple anyone can understand, even non nursing students "get it"!
