I'm going to take my NCLEX RN for the 14th time in March. In using UWORLD and Picmonic. My problem is knowledge deficit, memory deficit and anxiety. If I stop taking the Exam, I'm going to forget everything which is worse. I know people who Failed and give up and do not want to be one of those people. Any ideas please let me know and help me.
I implore you to consider a different career. You are not gonna make anywhere near the money you are making now if you become a nurse. Also, being a nurse is not less stressful. In fact, I would dare to say it is *more* stressful. Why get a job that is more stressful & pays you less? Not only that but you are painfully stubborn, ignorant, make excuses & don't listen. None of those are good qualities to have as a nurse. You are clearly missing a lot of information if you are on your 14th attempt. Not everyone is meant to be a nurse & that is ok! There are plenty of other careers that would suit you.
Put yourself in a patient's shoes. How would you feel if your nurse took 3 years & 10+ attempts to pass the NCLEX? Trust me, it's obvious. Especially with the first job you get. There will be such a steep learning curve. Because not only have you been out of school for 3 years but you obviously don't grasp the nursing concepts.
Why don't you spend some time at your vacation house in Rhode Island & reconsider nursing? Maybe there is something else you are really good at & can make it your career.
I will try
Everyonevis different. Some people have work 14 times harder than others. It's always been like that for me. All stardized test I took in the past have always been that way and I don't know why. I have to take standardized test so many times before I can pass or achieved.
Another excuse.
If you were truly that bad at testing you wouldn't have received good grades in your pre reqs (to get admitted into nursing school) *or* passed nursing school. I don't know of any nursing school that lets you retake tests multiple times. So if you truly were that bad at testing you wouldn't have passed nursing school or even got through the NCLEX.
The NCLEX isn't impossible, but you have to know & understand the material. It is clear you don't. If you don't understand the material on the NCLEX, how are you going to deal when you have to work as a nurse? You don't have 3 years to figure out what is wrong with a patient & how to take care of them.
Just consider this a lost thread, for several reasons.
One, denial. So, so many excuses. Maybe I'm being cranky, and tired, but a friend of mine just lost her father this past week and the loss is fresh. Seeing this poster using the loss of her mother as the reason for failing the NCLEX 13x in a row (after 10+ pages) really, really just feels wrong. It also really bothers me that she uses working with those evil rotten delinquents as an excuse as well. I don't know, it all leaves a very bad feeling. Your original reasoning wasn't even close to a relative passing on and ... it just doesn't feel right, nor good.
Second, the occasional intermittent poster: "you can do it! Just do the Hurst/Kaplan Live Review and don't listen to these meanies!" ... thus setting this back several conversational threads. Please read the last 100 posts, for the love of all that's holy.
Third ... never, ever, EVER listening to a post. Ever. Despite 13 attempts at the NCLEX and multiple posts on AN since 2014. OP asks the same question, she gets the same responses ... and then asks the same question in a different post not a week later . So why keep asking?
Fourth, the posts are "degrading." No. They are honest. They are just not what the OP wants to hear.
So I say, let this thread die. OP will not get it. If she does indeed pass, may she find a position that has the longest orientation and best supervision ever offered.
OP -- this is to you: I suggest taking the advice of the experienced nurses who have taken the time to post on your thread. They are thinking of both the best interest of you and your patients, and not being degrading to you in the slightest. I suggest stop posting in the meantime, and use that time to study.

I'm sorry for your loss. *hugs* It is not just you, I believe everyone who has given the OP advice similar to us feels the same way. My toddler listens better than the OP.
Why don't you focus on furnishing your vacation house & not on the NCLEX. Maybe if you're good at furnishing your vacation house you could be an interior decorator!
im currently studing for NCLEX now and I have an emergency trip to care of something and while in there I'm want to order the furniture for vacation house
