Hello all,
I'm new to posting on this board.. Though I've been reading through forums for years. I just graduated from an ADN program and take my NCLEX in a few weeks. Just looking for some words of encouragement at this point. It will be a long couple weeks prepping but I'm trying to stay positive!

You can do it! I take mine in 9 days. Do questions everyday and read rationales. Kaplan will be your best friend. Saunders is good to brush up on content.

Thanks all!! I take my NCLEX June 10th. I've been working through the kaplan strategy book and afterwards will move onto lacharity and lippincott. I don't feel weak on content.. My biggest weakness is implementing the correct strategy to answer questions and the kaplan book has helped a ton.

which books/study tips did you find to be most helpful
I used the following resources:
1. Kaplan Strategies, Practice, & Review 2014-2015 - this book was GREAT for testing strategies and I felt the questions were challenging.
2. Saunders Comprehensive Review - great for content review.. The questions were a little on the easier side so I only answered them when I needed a break from harder questions.
3. Lippincott Q&A - used this book throughout nursing school and bought the updated version to use. I mainly answered questions on the disc for nclex prep.
4. LaCharity's Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment - this book is GOLF for NCLEX prep!! Seriously, this book prepared me the best for NCLEX
5. NCLEX-RN mastery iPhone app - loved having questions on my phone to answer if I was waiting in line somewhere or away from my books. The questions are a little easy but good for content review.
6. NCSBN Learning Extension NCLEX review - I bought the 3 week course for $50 and it was a complete waste of money. The content review was overly simplified.. And the questions were much harder compared to the NCLEX.
I focused more on doing as many practice questions as I could and only reviewed content I consistently missed. I also read all rationales to understand why the answer I chose was correct or incorrect. Hope this helps!!
