NCLEX-RN Review Courses in South Florida

Published

Hi Everyone! :)

I am looking for someone that can offer assistance in locating a good NCLEX-RN review course. I am in the south Florida area: Miami / Fort Lauderdale and need a reputable program with good success rates. A little about my situation: I graduated from an ASN program in August 2015-We were required to take a Kaplan review course, and also used Kaplan during the program. I have taken my NCLEX -RN exam once and failed with 83 questions. First attempt I was all over the place, using my Saunders book w/cd , Kaplan review guide, and a few other books lol. I was sad that I didn't pass but I also knew that my content/knowledge base was not up to par (obviously). I have looked into purchasing the Hurst Review, however I feel that I need something more intense since I like to ask lots of questions, and interact. I don't want the easy way out, and would like to be not only a safe nurse, but a good nurse that knows her stuff. I'm willing to put the work in, but just need to find the right place to do it. I had even considered paying $1800 for one of those remedial courses ! This is how nervous I am- Solid / Sound advice needed.

Thank you all in advance, and hope you have a blessed weekend

Happy Veterans Day to all

Hey! If you can email me at [email protected]. I can give you some resources that I used. I recently just took my exam (Wednesday) and just found out this morning I passed!!

Congrats Yayaone!!!

I recently took a remedial course that was offered in Orlando, FL. I don't know how far you are willing to drive but this one was on point. It was Millers Nursing Review. Dr. Miller is incredible and she teaches you everything you need to know for the NCLEX. Not only is it good for review, but it was a great confidence booster. I failed my NCLEX twice. I honestly was so down on myself for not passing. She believed in me and went above and beyond to make sure I reached my goal. It is a little pricy. I paid around $950 I believe? It's an intense remedial course. I only paid for the class portion of it. You can also pay for clinicals if you failed the NCLEX 3 times. I was in your shoes. I wanted something that was worth my money, and Millers Nursing Review was more than I expected. Class to me was not boring. She kept it very interesting. She tells you all the tips and tricks to pass the NCLEX.

So, just wanted to throw my experience out there. She had a wide variety of people that came into class. Some people that have failed the NCLEX more that 5 times and she will tell you first hand, that it doesn't matter. Don't give up. You will pass this hurdle. Doesn't matter how many times you take the test. You will be a great nurse regardless! :snurse:

Hi Paigee

Thank you so much... Im not sure if Im up to the drive - How long was the Miller review course?

Hi Yayone,

Thank you - Ill be emailing you shortly. Thank you in advance for your help

There's one in fort Lauderdale, did 1 class then never went back, instructor did a system every day, waste of money.

There's a ton, just search online, still a waste though your better off doing Uworld, with a few other banks.

I am joining an intensive NCLEX review webinar online this November. It is my first time and I attended the free orientation workshop. It seemed very interesting so far and the instructor is based in California and an experienced nurse educator Try to search Matus Nursing Review. Good luck.

Hi Ackeem

Thank you I do plan to use UWorld. I've been hearing a lot of good things.

Hi nurseteam16

Thanks Im gonna check that out. :)

I apologize for just getting back to you. It was a month long. I went every Wednesday and Thursday. I mean, despite making the drive, it was worth my time. I drove an hour each time I went. She uses the Saunders book for the course and also gives you a review book she made with all kinds of information in it. (labs, meds, etc) It was just an overall great course if that is something you are looking for. Some people actually few in from Texas to come to her review course. They flew in every week! Thats dedication. I for sure don't have that type of money to do that, but just shows you the type of class she has going on. I enjoyed it.

HI GOOD MORNING CAN YOU PLEASE EMAIL ME HER INFORMATION. [email protected]
