I took the Nclex RN for the first time on friday 9/11/09. I got 75 questions which were mainly application and analysis questions. I had about 6 or 7 SATA and no math questions. The questions were very difficult but i was very sure that i did good. i had a lot of infection control and delegation questions. I also had questions that asked me to assign a nurse that had been pulled from one unit to another to a patient. I tried the pearson tick and it said that i have scheduled the exam recently and should contact my board. I have read from here that the pearson trick works and im really hoping it does. I was very sure i passed when i came out because i got a lot of difficult questions and i believe i got most of them right. My results are not yet available on the pearson website. Im so nervous and tired of waiting. does the pearson trick really work? and do the kind of questions that i got sound like i passed or failed. Most students from my school pass on their first attempt and im hoping i do too.
I am in CA too. I took the test on Monday. Stopped at 75. I have many SATA, meds that I am not familiar to them. I am so nervous and dont think that I will pass. I did the trick just few minutes ago and it pop-up with the message "Your current test result is on hold. No other registration can't be made at this time?" Is that mean I failed?? Anyone is on this situation before?? I think I have to start to study for the next round. It is very suck of waiting.
From reading other posts, I believe the hold post doesn't mean anything either way. Keep trying until you get one of 2 things. 1. You get to the page where you can enter your credit card # = Fail or 2. You get the pop-up that says this "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time." = Pass
Here's what I found on another thread:
VERY IMPORTANT: At this point, if you get a pop up that says 'The candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; it just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the Credit Card information page, that means you did not pass.
I'm sure you did!!! I'm a bit of a skeptic too, even though I should know better. I mean I read over 400 posts about it the first time and again this time, all saying it's true. Not to mention it worked for me before in that it let me register and I sure enough failed. This time I have the pop up, so I'm hoping my name will be on the board's website early tomorrow morning!! I'll let you know!
Hi there. I took my exam last Oct 5. I tried the PVT but it showed that my result is on hold. I called the BRN, they asked for my ssn before they can release the result. I faxed this afternoon. The waiting is killing, God help us!! I stopped at 75, have meds, SATA, cases, prioritization. Prolonging my agony...
I took my NCLEX RN on the 15th. I felt like I had failed the test miserably. As soon as I got home I tried the pearson vue trick. It didn't allow me to go to the CC page which is a good sign. I got the famous message about contacting the board of nursing I can't register at this time. I feel pretty good being that everyone has tried it and it seems to work. Not to mention a professor at my NCLEX review was actually the one who told me about this trick so it must have some type of truth to it. I will know in 14 hours and I will let you know.

OK, thank you for the information. Well, here's hoping they have everything they need and I know by tomorrow
I took the NCLEX-RN once before in July and I failed at 75?s. I did the trick then, and I was able to go all the way to the cc page. Now, that I've gotten the pop-up I'm a little optimistic but, I still won't be completely calm until I see my name on the BRN website. Can't wait!!
