Nclex RN january 2017

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

This post is for all those who are taking their nclex rn in January. How are you guys with your review? What materials are you using? Let's encourage each other. Thanks

Please pray for me. Just finished the exam. It shut down at 78 questions. I can't believe I got around 25-30 SATA and 5 exhibits and 1 calculation (easy calculation) but for the SATA I know some wherein I'm sure about my answer. I always got SATA after each every question I got that I think is correct (based on my personal knowledge). My last question was about what you'll include in teaching in droplet precautions which is easy that staff needs to wear surgical masks, other options doesn't lead to droplet that's why.

Guys just crossed my mind. So for a chest tube that's accidentally pulled out we use occlusive dressing and for a chest stab wound we use gauze taped on 3 sides? Right? Lol funny how my brain doesn't wanna stop studying even when i am relaxin... will appreciate your insights thanks...

I am sure you did just fine!!! Relax... God is in control. Are u planning to do the pvt? Do u have quick result?

@shesanurse I think CA doesn't have quick result. I got the email already that I took the exam. I don't know if I'll do the PVT trick. If I do it should I do it with a $25 prepaid visa card?

Yes that will do. And you won't get charged because it doesn't have enough credit. You should get 'our records show...' when you pass.

hmm from my understanding with UWORLD and ATI for a chest tube that's accidentally taken out you use a sterile dressing taped on three sides to prevent a pneumothorax and/or occlude with a clean glove if gauze is not readily available.....I've seen different too let me know if I need to be corrected :bag:

Try it hun and see what it says or just use an old card as well. Let us know what pops up. I know it's crazy to wait so long since you're in CA.

I cannot for the life of me remember anything developmental with kids. I don't have any!! So I'm just going to have to take a hit on those questions lol.

same here, plus i suck with immunizations... i hope I won't get any of those..

So I see in ATI it says occlude with three sides and UWORLD says occlude all ....ugh which is it lol I'm currently reviewing. I don't think I have lab down pat but I'll interpret based on context. My friends said prioritization of course is big I just hope it's not as difficult as uworlds lol. If you have any other questions please write em here lol I love the back and forth.
