Nclex RN january 2017

Published

This post is for all those who are taking their nclex rn in January. How are you guys with your review? What materials are you using? Let's encourage each other. Thanks

To clarify this is for RN NCLEX.

HI everyone. I am taking NCLEX, next week on the 12th. I graduated on April 30th and I got ATT in June but I was just burnt out. I have put it off and put it off and I feel I am ready as I am ever going to be. For anyone that is thinking of postponing their test, DONT! It was a mistake for me to wait so long. I needed a break but then it became FEAR and it paralyzed me. I am a Christian and I was being held down and not trusting God. I had panic type freak outs and now I am just trusting GOD. I know that he has destined me to be a nurse and nothing is going to change that. You have to do your part. I did way too much prep and I will list here and what I think is best so far and I will update after.

Required by school Virtual ATI-- Total waste of time

Kaplan all test trainers and questions and sample NCLEX tests and readiness.

U-world( by far my favorite). The rationales are great and I think worth every penny.

HURST videos are awesome. Even if all you do is just listen. You learn content. When you learn a song, you dont learn it by memorizing lyrics, you learn by hearing it over and over again. I feel these have been extremely helpful.

I do have NCLEX mastery and found it helpful but I bought it awhile ago in school and just started using it again. I think its helpful for Pharmacology for sure.

Program from NCSBN I never completed.

Also Picmonic has great free You tube videos if you like mnemonics, its great.

The bottom line is I am doing my part and God will do the rest.

If content is your issue, use HURST for content and U-world for questions. I highly recommend these. If you have Kaplan, they also have great videos, I just listened to.

Best of Luck to everyone. Keep us posted

Alicia

Thanks so much for your inspirational words. I completed all of my nursing courses in April however due to a clinical error I had to repeat JUST the clinical without theory in August. I took the ATI Comprehensive and scored a 98% chance of passing NCLEX...however that was back in April. So I have put doubts in my head on whether I'd be able to pass NCLEX at all due to the time frame of 9 months...and I know I shouldn't. You are right..God has destined or I wouldn't be in this position. He believes and knows that I'll make it through I just have to do my part and wave all the negativity away. I really needed this thank you. Good luck on your exam and please let us know how it goes!!! I will go into mine with confidence that I have done the required prep and that whatever happens in that testing room is meant for that time- God got me.

Blessings

Yes my dear let's keep our dates & motivate one another to get through this

Yes lets keep our date and get over this!!! :)

Sorry if this has already been answered, I am studying right now so I didn't have time to read through all 140+ comments.

I am using UWORLD to study and although I know the formatting is very similar, I was wondering if the NCLEX uses the same "cross out" feature, where if you know an answer is not right, you can put a line through it on UWORLD.

Thats right Ms Petite 93, ADN, ASN.

He has a plan for us no matter the outcome. We do our part and he will do his. NO matter what this will not kill us and everything is always in his perfect timing and he is molding and shaping us into the nurses he wants us to be. There is always a teaching and learning process in everything that we do but we got to be quiet enough to listen. :) I will be praying for you and everyone taking NCLEX, let us know when you are testing.

Absolutely not

My prayer is to be the nurse God intended me to be. To serve him everyday through my profession, bring hope to the hopeless, healing to the sick, and be used by God mightily for His name and glory.

And as for this exam... may His will be done.

Amen. Love it. We will be his hands and feet.

EEK! Just took my Nclex the 5th and am still waiting for quick results. Did the PVT and got the good pop up, but I'm still extremely nervous! I ended up with 75 questions in a little over an hour. Around 25 SATA, I just don't feel like the test was THAT hard. I was expecting some questions that I would be completely stumped on, but that never happened. HELP!

NICE AhN10, CNA on the 75. How do you guys all count the SATA? You mentally keep track? What did you use for prep? And that is awesome that you didnt feel like it was that hard. CONGRATS, it sounds like you passed especially with the good pop up. I am horrible at SATA but others say they passed that were.

Hi there! I took NCLEX today and I stopped at question 75. I had 10-12 SATA questions, prioritization, multiple choice, computations. The last 3 questions are all pharmacology question and I think I got it right. I looked at the answers.

Im still waiting for the results too. It's my nth time to take NCLEX-RN exam and I think I already developed PTSD from failing the exam.

I cant sleep now.

Good luck to us! Keep the faith!
