Nclex RN january 2017

taking me forever to finish... i am taking mine the 27th. I still have 500 plus questions to go. Plus i noticed my grades getting low... maybe because i am stressing out too much to finish it already...

Hey Girl, I'm in the same boat as you. Yesterday I scored AT the average usually I'm above. But that's ok. I'm reading the rationales slowly and writing it down. It takes me 4 hours!! to review the rationale. And I need to get back on my tests I've been slacking in regards to consistency...prob cuz my date is far lol. Just keep on truckin thats all we can do and pray before each session. I have 1400 left I believe and doing the math I won't be done till the 20th so I prob wont have the time to review everything I got wrong honestly...so Ill just review what I wrote down or typed. I'm so tempted to push my date back to February! One of my friends is taking her test today..she didn't use the whole Q-Bank and she's only used UWORLD for about 3 weeks with breaks in between her days so I'm praying that she passes :). Although my life is not dependent on passing NCLEX, it'll suck lol because I hate tests......trying to stay POSITIVE :troll: :nurse:

Finished UWORLD with 52% overall performance. I'm retaking it by clicking the "all" checkbox and doing it again system by sytem. This way will help you re-answer the questions and re-read the rationales behind it. It will help you more remember and understand the rationales because you're answering and reading the rationales again. :) I'll be taking on January 28. :)

I started last December 1. I used to review at work 12am-4am because my work wasn't busy at all. :)

I have 500 questions left trying to do at least a 100 questions a day. I'm thinking about doing the assessment tonight & based on my results I'll know if I need to push my date til Feb.

@saldridge SAME! I'm going to finish the whole bank then take it if it says I still need more work then I will also be pushing it back as well. Its Cookie. Cruz by the way lol just changed the username. We are both testing on the same day so lets try to keep our dates lol.

HI everyone. I am taking NCLEX, next week on the 12th. I graduated on April 30th and I got ATT in June but I was just burnt out. I have put it off and put it off and I feel I am ready as I am ever going to be. For anyone that is thinking of postponing their test, DONT! It was a mistake for me to wait so long. I needed a break but then it became FEAR and it paralyzed me. I am a Christian and I was being held down and not trusting God. I had panic type freak outs and now I am just trusting GOD. I know that he has destined me to be a nurse and nothing is going to change that. You have to do your part. I did way too much prep and I will list here and what I think is best so far and I will update after.

Kaplan all test trainers and questions and sample NCLEX tests and readiness.

U-world( by far my favorite). The rationales are great and I think worth every penny.

HURST videos are awesome. Even if all you do is just listen. You learn content. When you learn a song, you dont learn it by memorizing lyrics, you learn by hearing it over and over again. I feel these have been extremely helpful.

I do have NCLEX mastery and found it helpful but I bought it awhile ago in school and just started using it again. I think its helpful for Pharmacology for sure.

Program from NCSBN I never completed.

Also Picmonic has great free You tube videos if you like mnemonics, its great.

The bottom line is I am doing my part and God will do the rest.

If content is your issue, use HURST for content and U-world for questions. I highly recommend these. If you have Kaplan, they also have great videos, I just listened to.
