  5. YES! The test is laid out exactly like UWorld. It is very comforting. I also found that a lot of the NCLEX questions were easier than UWorld questions. However, every test is different.
  6. Hi! I took the test today! I got there about an hour early and they let me in early to take it. It shut off at 75 questions. It took me about an hour and 15 minutes. I had 21 SATA questions and multiple choice. Contrary to what I was expecting, I left the testing center feeling pretty good with my answers. I didn't have any questions with content that I had absolutely no idea on. I was able to critically think and make great educated guesses on each question. I did the PVT and have gotten the "GOOD POP UP". I am hoping that my board of nursing will solidify my assumptions and tell me I passed!

  9. Hi Everyone! Just need some extra love, support, and prayers. I am taking my NCLEX-RN today in Minnesota. Of course it has to be -8 degrees outside today, so I am also praying my car will start! I was feeling so anxious this whole week and now I sort of have this calmness fall upon me. I am feeling as if I am as ready as I'll ever be and need to take it one question at a time. I need to leave my hotel room in 30 minutes and each minute feels as if it takes an hour! I am just so ready to get in there and start my test. Please pray for me and I am hoping to come back feeling at least a little confident in my test. Thank you so much! WE CAN DO IT!
  10. Hi! I just finished my Associates Degree in Nursing. Med Surge was mostly my last two semesters of my nursing program. I think a big part of Med Surge with assessing patients is truly the ABCs (sounds stereotypical, but true!). On Medical-Surgical floors, there are a lot of things that can go wrong very quickly. Critical thinking skills is such an important part of assessments in the Med-Surge world especially. Another thing to remember: clinicals may be CRUMMY because it feels as if you do not know ANYTHING on the floor. However, I had many nurses tell me that Med-Surge is such a diverse floor with so many different diagnoses/problems that there is no way that you will know how to do everything as a student. It takes time to be confident on a floor such as Med Surge. Best of luck to you in your program :)
  11. Right now I have like 1200 questions done and a cumulative score of about 58% which puts me in the 77th percentile. I have about 700 questions left. My tests have ranged from 45% (closer to the beginning of my UWorld life) to the mid-upper 70s! I feel good that I am progressively improving.
  12. I did not study Kaplan. I used ATI with my school, which is a like-Kaplan service compared price wise. I used that a little, but I learn so much from the rationales with UWorld.
  13. Yes! I am taking much test January 4 and took the self assessment today. I got 77% of the questions right, giving me a 98% or very high probability of passing. I thought it was very helpful! It was a little nerve racking because it doesn't tell you what you get right/wrong until the end of the exam, but it went well!
  14. Thank you so much! I am absolutely praying! Seeing my score on UWorld increasing as I continue doing questions also is giving me more confidence and a little more assurance than I can maybe do this! There is no way all my anxiety will go away until I read a "PASSED" on the MN BON! Good luck to you as well, you are definitely on the right track. We have got this!
  15. Thank you for the support! Yes, I just took the UWorld Comprehensive test that is 75 questions today. I got 98% probability (same at my ATI but I felt much more confident in my answers in UWorld which is good I think) and 77% of the questions right. It says my probability for passing the actual NCLEX is very high. I am hoping that it is right and I will do well!!
