  1. Hello everyone, I am studying for the NCLEX and I'm confused about suctioning a tracheostomy. Do you suction the mouth first or the trachea first? I learned that you suction from sterile to clean so from the trachea and then the mouth. Uworld states you suction the mouth first but I disagree. Any thoughts? Thank you!
  2. Hello everyone, I am having trouble taking out the background information when I read my nursing textbook. How do you know what's important in the paragraph? Can someone please give me any tips? Thank you! P.S. I need to read the whole chapter, please don't suggest me read the first and last sentence in each chapter, it doesn't work for me. Thanks
  3. Hello everyone, I need help with the stages of dementia. Can you pretty please explain what happens in each stage (mild, moderate, and severe)? Every source says something different and my textbook explains it terribly. Please help, thank you!
  4. Wow thank you so much! Do you mind showing me a few that you've done already so i can see what you're doing visually. I'd really really appreciate it! Thanks!!
  5. Its a terrible program. I am paying fully and i do teach myself everything
  6. I'm sorry i didn't know. How do I change it?
  7. Can you please give me the links because there are so many books with similar names. Thank you!
  8. Which books? Please please give me specifics! I'd really appreciate it.
  9. Thank you so much! I actually have the last book you wrote, Medical-Surgical Nursing Made Incredibly Easy!. Is it a good book and did it really help you? Thanks again!
  10. Oh I'm very sorry, i am new to all this. I am in my associates program. And of course I have lecture but unfortunately, in my program everything is self taught. I have to teach all the subjects and topics on my own. Its very difficult and no one helps me. The program was made to wean students out slowly.
  11. Hello everyone, I just finished my first semester in my nursing program which was fundamentals. To be honest I did struggle a little bit because everything was and still is new to me. You see, in my program everything is self taught. The professors do not teach at all and everything is pure textbook. I need to teach myself everything and read the textbook on my own. I had a 4.0 GPA but sadly I had to kiss it good bye. I am starting second semester in February, which will be MedSurg. Unfortunately, I have to teach everything myself again and I have heard that MedSurg is tough and confusing to understand. I have the whole month of January to prepare. Does anyone have any advice or any books that really helped them? I am open to ANY suggestions, I'm so desperate for help. I would also appreciate advice for test taking tips for MedSurg. Please reply to my message, I really appreciate it. Thank you all! Happy new year!
