NCLEX review options

Published

hey everyone,

so i am about to start reviewing for the NCLEX and am torn between which to use NCSBN or Uworld Qbank (I'm assuming thats from Kaplan ) . i also have access to Saunders book and questions, but i will probably use that just for extra practice, if there is time .

would love to hear some feedback on either one of these.

thanks in advance

You go on that site, sign up and pay for your subscription. Me personally i used UWORLD exclusively on my phone. So after signing up i went in play store and downloaded the app.

was UWorld the only study tool you used? i am trying to figure out if that will be enough or if i need to used something else as well

Heres exactly what i did; i used UWORLD for 2 months straight every day and did the whole bank twice. When my subscription expired i purchased NCLEX mastery and lacharity, i answered questions from those two for the two weeks leading up to my exam.

To answer your question directly, UWORLD is what i used 80 percent of the time to study for the exam. i give it 90 percent credit for my succes on the NCLEX and the next 10 percent to lacharity.

I did 1200 questions from NCLEX mastery, however, looking back at it now i felt it was not necessary because i learnt very little from it. Lacharity however was worth every penny, very usefull for international graduates like myself for the NCLEX delegation questions.

You're welcome!

Why do you have only a month to study though ?

Internships? Where are you from? I live in Virginia and accepted a full time position at a level 1 trauma center hospital, I'll be working on the orthopedics floor (my first choice) in January. I didn't graduate till May.

I am from florida, and applying to NICUs but to be able to get into the ICUs the hospitals here want you to do a training program (some call it internship)

I'm cranking through the Kaplan Qbank, does anyone have some good feedback about Kaplan questions? It's actually a requirement for my school to complete kaplan, but like everyone else, I want to make sure I'm studying the best material to pass this the first time!

Oh wow!

yeah lol, I wish I didn't have to do all that because this time restriction is a pain.

Keep us posted on your exam! Good luck !!!

I was doing U world and doing really well, but I felt like I needed to try something else now I am doing Kaplan q bank and getting 40's and 50's which is frustrating me, should i just go back to U world.
