  1. I just took my Pccn test yesterday for the first time, that was really hard I believe NCLEX was easier. I'm gonna study alot more and try to retake it in a couple months. Having said this I feel like taking it online at home didn't help me one bit as I had tech issues and I was stressed out enough as it was. This test has a 67% pass rate, I feel like now that I now more what to study I will pass next time.

Hello I am getting ready to be interviewed for a position as critical care internship. Due to me having covid I am having my interview via computer. I was just wondering if any ICU nurses had any advice for me.
  3. I dressed more casually, and I just brought all my confidence into the interview and I just clicked with the manager, and nurses. I wanted the job so I got it.
  4. I got the job, was basically hired on the spot after the floor tour the manager asked if I was interested I said yes definitely and she took me to h.r. where they made me a offer, I start the 22nd, so excited.
  5. Thank you everyone for your advice which I am gonna use on my interview tommorow it's a position I really want so yeah I'm bringing my A game along with a glowing recommendation letter from a surgeon I work with. Feeling good, fingers crossed I am landing this interview not letting my nerves best me this time. Thanks again
  6. Hello, I'm an experienced nurse, I am trying to work at a hospital that's closer to my house, I've interviewed at 5 different hospitals and been turned down after feeling like the interview went well. I never got a reason and am just frustrated. I have another interview coming up this week for a progressive care unit position that I really want but now I'm discouraged from being turned down so much. I have 7 years lpn and 4 years rn as well as a bachelors, I don't know what else I can do to prove I'm a good candidate anyone on here have any advice.
  7. Hello I have been accepted for a position working at a hospital that has a kidney transplant institute and some of my patient's are going to be medical surgical patients who have had or are going for transplants, I am trying to study up on what all I will need to know so I have some knowledge base, Any ideas besides immunosuppressant's, antirejection meds and post and pre op nursing care for the patient. Just wondering if anyone else has any experience in this field and could give me some advice I am a brand new RN but I have eight years experience working cardiac nursing as a LPN, not much med/surge. Sincerely, Interested in Florida
  8. Hello, I was wondering if anyone is certified in oncology or taken the tests to get certified, I just passed my boards and am looking into certifications now. Thanks New RN in Florida
  9. Feeling awesome today found out I passed and am now a RN! My advice is to use as many practice tests as you can, that's what I did and I also bought the book Pearson Reviews and Rationales for NCLEX, don't over think it and do not study the day of or before the test, I played games with my son and stayed relaxed and blew the test away with 76 questions!!!
  10. Thanks, I have some nursing background I worked in hospital for 12 years as a CNA than six years as a LPN, math always kept me from getting my RN, but I found a way around it. I pray that I pass because I need to get this career to support myself and my autistic son, I have literaly been studying since April, I will say a prayer for you if you say one for me.,
  11. Okay so I am not freaking out, I have been preparing for this test for months now, using every available resource i can. The SATA's I always miss like one or two on the practice tests. Ughh does anyone have any advice to give me. This girl is determined to pass!! Sincerely, Confident in Florida
  12. Yes its only 75 questions, but its set up just like the real deal, no it is just like the real test and you get a score at the end.
  13. Hello I just wanted to mention that the NCLEX mastery simulation is something I just found and would like to recommend it to others, its like the real test has the same feel with the timer, I got 75 questions and at the end it tells you your weak areas, Also whether you are beginner, intermediate or advanced. I got advanced and it is made me feel more confident for the real test which I take in 2 weeks. It's only ten bucks so go ahead take it. Good luck to all taking it soon
  14. Okay so my friend just took the NCLEX and failed, she had a lot of cardiac rhythm and medication questions, she said she felt like it was really hard and she is telling me this, I have been studying but now I am feeling unprepared and freaking out. She always did good on tests in class. I have been using Uworld and studying alot, but I fear since it's been so long I wont pass any advice. Scared and getting discouraged in Florida
  15. Is anyone else in the same boat as me I graduated April 13th but thanks to Pearson Vue screwing up my last name, causing issues and losing my board approval I got stuck with the end of July, I am trying to get a job which the big hiring starts in August. I am frustrated tired of studying and getting more discouraged because I heard the longer you wait the greater chance you fail? I am doing uworld and I have a 92nd rank, I guess that's good. SATA questions I always miss one and it makes me angry, does anyone else having advice. Thanks Frustrated in Florida
